nice to see you posting again Chaz

by barkroz on 22 June 2013 - 15:06

I am always rather amazed at the level of zealous opinionated nastiness that takes place in these posts... And yet fool that I am I am responding.... I have looked at the video frame by frame and clearly as many pointed out, two issues converged.... For "whatever reason the dog was low and close and very fast"  ... The helper made an adjustment in a millisecond to avoid a nasty jamb.....their timing was a hair off... All it took.... At least it was points and not a DQ or worse a broken neck.... I have a fast female that presents very low and fast and is very tricky to catch... My fault for doing her foundation with an inexperienced ....point is... Whether its a pretty catch or a disaster, a dog coming in that low and fast for footing issues or whatever is going to  leave a much smaller margin for that helper.... Unfortunate for all parties NO ONE to blame.... The rambling griping is unsportsmanlike... The handler certainly is not griping...I don't understand the need for a couple of posters to do so......

"The helper made an adjustment in a millisecond to avoid a nasty jamb."

Really, after nearly 200 posts you're trying to sell the idea that this was a millisecond deliberate adjustment to avoid a nasty jamb?
I'll buy the bad conditions.
I'll buy that Ebor is a very fast dog
I'll buy that Marcus didn't try to make Ebor miss the bite deliberately, but I sure as hell ain't buying that he made any millisecond adjustment to avoid a jamb. What I hate about thread like this is how many people mistake their opinions for fact and can't tell the difference. Once again,  bad catch,( for whatever reason)
Who were the three people on the far side of the field (2 close and one further back)?.

dobermanman, you sir are dishonest, you hit over 50 words in the third line of yr response around the word "view", and that does not include counting FB as two seperate words, how can you be trusted for anything.....???

anyhoo, i am sure it's an interesting thread, maybe ivan is in cahoots with the kgb!

who is ivan anyways, something about red do thing and green pants???

all the cool dog trainers have bandanas and loud pants, pony tail is the really, really cool ones...duh.

I would NOT trust my synopsis of this thread. You should read all 193 replies for yourself ;-)

Two of the best trainers in the the US (Ivan and Michael Ellis) have pony tails so there maybe something there?

vk4gsd, this thread is a continuation of the locked thread "Qualification Trial", it has never been about Ebor or Ivan.

Ivan's hair is a weave. Trust me. There is no way you can have that beautiful hair in Florida humidity. Ellis, yes. California is a dry heat

by Dobermannman on 24 June 2013 - 00:06

The Qualification topic was about the WUSV Qualification trial. There was peripheral mention of Ivan and Ebor at the AWDF.
The Q thread was locked because of personal attacks.
This thread was started when a video of the  protection routine was made available.
Unfortunately most of the comments on this thread have NOT been about the video but more of the same type personal attacks that
got the  first thread locked :-(

Aye, you have been missed, Chaz Reinhold. You have been missed, indeed.

What say you about T Floyd's cascading locks?
