Late Whelp (?) - Page 5

Thank you Ibrahim!  I tried for quite a long time last light and got nowhere.  They are all still there this morning and the mom's bleeding seemed to be lightening up a bit.  I had planned on getting her to the vet today but ran late on my meeting and had to cancel.  Will get her in this weekend to get a check up.  I hope the weather hold so that I can clean her up a bit.  The old blood is starting to "cake up" on the legs. 

She ate well last night.  Salmon with rice, then she wanted desert...some vanilla flavored yogurt, then a bit of red meat.....elk.  I'm surprised she didn't have a belly ache. Gave her a couple of pettab vitamins.  I didn't want to deplete her energy level, but she found an old tennis ball and wanted to play a little.  She got a couple of chases, done.

its natural for a female to bleed a bit after childbirth.

take her to the vet, get an X-ray to make sure there aren't any puppies still inside her.

Awwwwww!  Aren't they cute?!  So sweet.  Give them a few days and they will be all over the place.  Thanks for posting!

I will try and keep you all informed and they get older and will post pictures (hopefully with the help of Ibrahim that helped me on this little venture). Just to say I looked at a couple last night and their eyes seemed to be opening.  They are gaining weight and mom is still spotting, but much less now and eating a bit better.  Will take her to the vet this weekend.
