HEXE,
ONE: IF YOU WERE READING CORRECTLY YOU WOULD HAVE NOTICE THAT WDA WAS MENTION AS THE CULPRIT!
TWO: I SAID IT CORRECTLY THEY FLUNKED!!
THREE:  I HAVE FLUNKED IN THE PASS A BUNCH OF TIME AND IT EARNED ME NOTHING!
FOUR:  THEY DO HAVE A CHOICE, JUST LIKE THE 3 PEOPLE THAT EARNED THE RIGHT TO GO AND DECIDED NOT TO GO!
FIVE:  I DON'T BLAME THEM,  I SAID I WOULD HAVE MORE PRIDE AND CONSIDERATION FOR THE COMPETITORS THAT WORKED HARD AND EARNED THE RIGHT TO GO TO THE QUALIFICATION TRIAL,  BY NOT ACCEPTING AN INVITATION AFTER I HAD FLUNKED!  THAT'S WHAT I WOULD DO!!!!  KIND OF LIKE CROSSING A PICKET LINE!
SIX:  IF WDA IS GOING TO PLAY BY THOSE KIND OF RULES ( OR ANY ORGANIZATION FOR THAT MATTER) (A).  WHY HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP TO SELECT 10 PEOPLE TO GO TO THE QUALI TRIAL?  (B). WHY DON'T THEY JUST PICK 10 COMPETITORS THEY THINK WILL SERVE WDA AND SEND THEM?

LAST BUT NOT LEAST YOU DON'T KNOW ME AND WHAT KIND OF SPORTSMAN I AM OR NOT!  IF YOU KNEW ME,  YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN I HAVE ALREADY SHOWN SPORTSMANSHIP BY WITHDRAWING MY INTENTION TO COMPETE FOR THE  QUALI TRIAL.   LIKE I SAID I HAVE SOME PRIDE,  AND I DIDN'T WANT TO BE CONSIDERED AFTER NOT GOING THROUGH THE PROCESS.......OH BY THE WAY I SCORED 93-92-99=284 AT THE WDC.

While I certainly can sympathize with the WDA wanting to submit a full team at the WUSV Trial Qualifier if it was actually a part of the process that you had to have xyz to enter then changing the rules after the fact is bogus. I could not open the guidelines for the WDA requirements as it has been pulled down from the Championship page so I can only presume there were/are requirements a competitor must meet to be eligible. This is the same crap USRC pulled last year to field a team for the IFR. After the people who actually met the criteria to enter decline to go the rules were completely thrown out the window via a waiver. I was the number 1 qualifier for that event and had I known I wasn't' going to be required to meet the criteria mandated to be considered I could have possibly saved the cash I spent and planned to go.

On the other hand if there actually no written criteria and and it was just presumed that only the top 10 could go to the qualifier then they can what they like. I would suggest the WDA revise their there criteria as they have only one event per year they can use for consideration. I believe the UScA has 3 qualifiers, UScA Championship, WDC and the AWDF. plus a whole lot of ways to get people in if such and such does or doesn't happen.

Each could send ten, however the ten from each organization had to obtain a score of 270 or better at a National Event. As I recall the first year WDA sent less that ten because they did not have ten that got a 270 at their Nationals. Last year they did have ten that got a 270 at the Nationals so they sent ten. This year they had 7 get a 270 so they should not have been able to sent more than 7 according to the rule they nagotiated with USCA.

While that be so why would either negotiate what their club's criteria should be? Up until the WUSV intervened they alternated from year to year...3 from one two from the other.

Remember, this is a National team the USA is trying to send to International competition.  All I know, if you want the best to represent our country, then the best and most competitive should tryout.  I would not want someone who failed to make a qualifying time in the 100m race or got TKO'ed in the ring representing our Olympic team.  If we want to be respected internationally, then let's send our top teams and kick some IPO butt!!   :D

I have to agree that America should send its top dogs no matter which club they come from. This is an international competition and we should set politics aside and send the best of our best.

As far as the national qualifications.........if teams flunked, doesn't that show they are not consistant competitors? What liability does this bring to our national team?

Whatever score you get from the qualification trial is what the team is based upon. Doesn't matter if a dog who's only V'd in every trial it's ever been in fails or gets a low score at the qualifier..they don't qualify for the team so sending the best doesn't necessarily mean an automatic high score and place on the team.  If WDA feels they are sending the best and most competitive that's on them. If they send scrubs they won't qualify for the team.

As I stated before, WDA needs to revamp the way members are selected for the qualifying trial, with only one selection event they are behind the eight ball. UScA has or will have a pool of over 130 dogs that are or could have qualified compared to the WDA with 23.

First .. The GSDCA-WDA will obey the WUSV rules as written and will not weasel out or ignore them as the USCA has done repeatedly.  Second .. The USCA has no power or authority to interpret rules or do anything but follow the rules of the WUSV.  Third .. Three months ago it appeared the USCA would not be at the WUSV if the organization and membership did not stop breaking the rules repeatedly over 6 years as pointed out by the WUSV.

bubbaboo; you must make up your mind. Are titles and sport insignificant? There is another current thread by a beginner in which you are talking out of the ''other side of your mouth''. You rant that titles are unimportant and the sport is dead in USA. To write here must mean you either do care or just like to be a poop stirrer The beginner, who wrote the other thread, deserves only honest and sincere answers but the big boys are playing on this thread. go play video games, you do not belong here
