ZW numbers mean as much as people are honest, do x-ray, and do send them in, the success of the ZW system stays or fails with all of us.

Why don´t you name the BSZ winner you are talking about? You need to know this dog very good, if you have personal knowledge about the development of 5 litters out of one male, including private x- ray prelims of 8 pups...
A lot of breeders out there would be very thankful...

as i'm the helper of the 3breeders who used him and they all wanted to have future breeding stock out of their litters i indeed had "inside" info from these people, and i never comment negative on a dog if i never experienced it personnally especially not when health is the issue and the females also were certified by the SV, what our clubmembers do ask now are the pics themselves and not just the certification by the SV if the pics are not availeble to see don't use dog was my advice to them i know one of them already asked for the pics and wasn't allowed to see them/they didn't have it anymore..........

I don´t understand this sentence - are the club members asking for the x-rays of the stud they want to use? If we are talking about Germany, the x-rays go to SV - a lot of people don´t have copies.
In my experience the Profs working for SV are doing a good job - I´d trust their rating, don´t need to see the pics by myself.
To understand hip/elbow results one doesn´t only need to know the results of the parents, but as much as possible results of ancestors, siblings, litter mates. Because of this the ZW system was created.
It´s a shame that people lye to themselves by not sending the x-rays to SV. As long as people are cheating the best system can´t work.

yes asking copy's of the studs pics is exactly what they do now, you have a different opinion about SV x-ray ratings than i have, is your good right but i have seen to many a1/a2 ratings by SV and when we retook the pictures something else showed very clearly and not in 1 occasion i also recommended them to ask for bottom spine pictures, not demanded by SV but the next big problem in health issues

Just out of curiosity - are all these people able to read x- rays properly?
People tend to have different opinions...even on this board - as soon as anybody posts an x-ray, he gets 10 different opinions from 10 different people...it´s not that easy for John Doe.

A dog can be certified hips and still not be a good producer of hips. Many of us have found this to be true the hard way. There is no perfect system, if there were HD would be a thing of the past. The ZW is to me a better indicator than anything I have been involved with.

the people who sended back the dogs are people from french army, american DOD, and portugeze army also our own vet told us that those dog's never could get a1/a2 ratings 6months before we had retaken the pictures to sell the dogs.
the easy rating of SV on X_rays is the reason manny people from other country's send their pics to germany, and as long as SV makes money out of it they have no reason to start harder judging of pics, that's wat bothers me the most about SV
if they truelly cared about the breed and the health problems this sort of things wouldn't happen, they just wanna make the most money and don't think about the future, breeders use "A hips" but actually use c/d hips without knowing they do how can the breed benefit from that???? the only one who benefits is the SV itself they make money out of every rating they give
that is why when a dog is SV rated i want to see the pics myself or they send them by email to my vets place

Better, but croup is very steep and its cow hocked.
Decent shoulder, high withers, dark coat.
