Oh, one more thing.  This:

"Yes I got into a few sticky situations, who doesn't after 20 years."

Be very clear on this:  MOST PEOPLE.

Most people do NOT get into 'sticky situations', as you call it.  Most people plan more carefully, make sure the dogs they are breeding are actually registered IN THEIR OWN NAMES; most people find out what EXACTLY what it will cost to have even a refrigerator delivered from Home Depot, let alone a dog from California to Missouri, BEFORE they agree to pay for said delivery.  Could you have driven the same number of miles it was from the California kennel to where you met, for the price you've offered?  Betcha you couldn't.  Did you check on what it would have cost you to ship the bitch by air?

Then again, most people aren't trying to make their livelihood off of selling puppies, so they're in a position to be more careful, I suppose.

First of all, she lives in Colorado and we met in Iowa, where I drove to meet her.  Get your stories straight !
Yes I checked out shipping.  I don't make a living selling puppies.  Are u crazy ?   I take good care of my dogs
and puppies, shots, wormings, vet visits etc.  YOU don't make money.

It cost me $75 to meet her and I more than doubled the price to offer her.

And for your nasty comments.  She had 2 litters by this same dog, and sold puppies with no AKC papers !
I've had 3 people contact me about her.  Two of them said pretty much the same thing.  She ripped them off
too.  I do not know these people so don't  know if it's true or not.  I'm just repeating what they said.  I don't think
most people will come on here knowing how harse and one sided everyone is on here.  To tell a bunch of  lies.

I just want this to be over with and get my AKC papers as she said I would get them.  She should have told me
all of this in the beginning.

My mistake--I've got California on the brain at the moment; so the question should have been, did you meet half-way between their place and yours? If not, what would it cost you to travel the SAME distance as they traveled to the delivery point?

I never said that the seller was right to breed the dog without having her AKC registered in her name, either--I truly don't understand the logic of doing that, but in that regard, it becomes 'pot, meet kettle/kettle, meet pot' situation with regard to each other. 'Cause you've gone and done the same thing.

Don't try and tell ME that you make no money from breeding and selling puppies-- I've been around in the dog world every bit as long as you [maybe longer, who knows? I'm oldish], and I know damn well that you do NOT lose money on your litters, even when you 'kennel-reduction' the original selling prices because you can't raise an interest in the pups and they're getting older and are now a lot more work to care for.  And don't try to toss out the cost of caring for the adult breeding stock, their food and medical care and training and so forth, because I spend the same kind of money on my NON-breeding animals, and so do most other people.  It's called the cost of ownership, and if you think it needs to be 'offset' by the dogs making those expenses back for you, then you do not have pets--you have livestock.

If you were not told that the Bescheinigung was not yet back from the SV prior to you agreeing to take delivery of the dog, then yes, that was wrong of the seller to do that, IF the bitch was advertised as AKC registered.  If she was advertised as being AKC registerable , well, technically, the dog IS that...as soon as the Bescheinigung comes back, the seller signs off on it, and then forwards it to you. I personally wouldn't have waited from until October, when I'd decided to sell the dog, to try and straighten the Bescheinigung situation out, but hey, that's just me--I'm OCD like that.  And I personally wouldn't have taken delivery of the dog if her AKC registration wasn't turned over, appropriately signed, at the same time the dog was received, either. But again, that's just me.

Just remember, you NEED the seller to sign off on that Bescheinigung when it comes back from the SV, or it's going to be damn difficult to register that dog with the AKC. You might want to consider that before you continue posting your grievances against the sellter.

Okay, thanks.  But the whole point is this.  I was never told any of this crap till she came on here
to defend herself.  I have emails from her about the AKC and none of this stuff was EVER mentioned
to me !   I met her where she said to meet, in Davenport Iowa.  She was on her way to a Sieger Show
and wanted me to get her asap.  So I did.  She gave me Farah and a big envelope.  It was very
early in the morning.  I assumed the AKC papers were in there.  She left and said nothing to me
about all of this that I'm pissed off about.

How come I just now finding all of this out ?

And when you raise your dogs/puppies properly YOU DON'T MAKE MONEY.  As you said in your previous
post there are alot of things to pay for.   Unless you have  Ch. titled world re-known males that you stud out
I don't  think many people would say they make  money.  I'm not perfect I just love the breed.

I wasn't told any of that about the papers not coming back from the SV till after I had the dog.

I can't believe the number of people that come here, and state they are NOT making money off selling dogs.
Some of these dogs must be eating ssome pretty good food, huh !
I don't think the cost of feeding your adult dogs should be put into the equasion, as far as costs go.
UNLESSS you would not have them, if you couldn't breed them

Here is a solution. Wait until the seller has the papers. Things happen and sometimes it takes time . Be patient and be nice. Then right or wrong pay the $350  for the gas, get the papers and go on with your life.
How much is it worth it to be miserable.

Sounds good, except why should I pay for her entire trip ?   It probably cost that much
to go to the Sieger Show and back home, with ALL of  her dogs.
It's  Christmas and I don't  have that extra money right  now.  I put aside what I said I thought
was fair.  As she asked me, "What do u think is fair " ?  She didn't even have a price in mind
when I picked Farah up.  It was only after she got lost, and I got home with her the NEXT DAY.

She then emailed me and said I needed to give her $375  the next email was $350.  I would
have paid it if we had an agreement before hand, which should have been done.  This
is what I've been saying all along.  Her business practices are  shit.

I finally got a copy of my contract in the mail today !!!   yeah, after a month of begging her, and
pleading with her on here she came thru.  remarkable

Bescheinigung. Signature. Needed for AKC registration. Use your head for more than a hat rack, woman. Walk  a-w-a-y  from the keyboard for a while.
