Folks, I was perusing posts on the web and stumbled on this thread. Joined here just to reply.
I've an awesome 10 year old shep from Christie named River vom Adel Haus akaCairo. He has exceeded my expectations so many times I've lost count. Some AKC titles have been belittled in the past by Schutzhund folks but I still wish to post Cairo's accomplishments. His titles include the UKC Companion Dog Excellent and first level Rally. His AKC titles include the Companion Dog Exellent, and the third level Rally. Along the way he earned the Beginners Novice title, passed his Herding Instinct test and CGC certification. In 2007 he earned First Place in Open A at the Nationals and was ranked 4th in the nation.
The point here is not simply to showcase one dog. I researched breeders, selected Adel Haus, asked for a puppy that had potential to do well in Obedience. She sold me a puppy that was GREAT in Obedience. I was warned by her that my papers would take awhile, and they did.
I only met Christie for a few hours 10 years ago, so I can't tell you if she is a "good" person or not. However I'm positive that she knows her sheps. That was what I was looking for in a breeder.

| I got screwed too. Bought a beautiful adult from her. 20 months old. He was totally sterile. She offered me a puppy(I'd have to raise 2 yrs) for the replacement. She asked me to spen $500 to return the adult and she was paying $250 to send me the pup. Then she offered me a bred bitch 8 yrs old and wanted another $1500. She is a real rip off. I never got a replacement of any value and it took me 2yrs to find this male a good home. $2500 thrown away.You stil owe me Christie |

Well people are starting to come out of the wood work now, about Christi Lanckriet, AKA Christine Wilkins.
If more people would stand up about breeders and have the stuff to back it up, then buyers could be more aware.

I just got another email today regarding Christine Lanckriet of Adelhaus GSD
This was a very private email directly to me from a man I do not know. I would not
share this information as it has nothing to do with dogs.
I did not slander her or her dogs. Her dogs are nice and she's shown for some time.
It's her business practices that are not right ! She lied about me and the way things
went down. She kept on about her show dogs blah blah This is missing the point.
I bought Farah at a reasonable price. Yes, I drove over 5 hours each way to get her
in person. After she already had her money, I remembered a clause in her contract.
It states that nobody can talk about her, slander her Who puts this in their contract
UNLESS THEY'VE HAD ALOT OF PROBLEMS ALREADY ?? This is why at the last
minute of talking to her on the phone, I decided I should get the dog in person. She
told us we needed to get the dog asap. So I did.
I signed the contract and sent it to her. She has NEVER to this day sent me a copy of
our supposed contract. I have asked her many many times, even before this crap started.
I've kept every single email to proof exactly what I'm stating. It's not slander if it's true.!
It does not cost $350 for gas to drive 10 hours. I offered her $175 FOR GAS. We did not
have an agreement for a price.
I came on here for one reason only. To let people know that she is a liar, she makes up
things, SHE NEVER TOLD ME ABUOT ANY PROBLEM WITH A SIGNATURE. I HAVE HER
SV PAPERS THERE'S NO MISSING SIGNATURE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When agreed to meet I had no idea that I was not getting her AKC papers. She never told me this

Not for nothin', but it was my understanding that the missing signature wasn't on the SV papers--there was a signature missing on the transfer paperwork from the SV that's required in order to get the dog registered with the AKC. Not an uncommon problem, either.

Yep, that's what I thought had been said--I went back to page one and checked the seller's post in this thread:
" I purchased the female in January 2011, for $4700 with shipping included... I received the SV papers in April, 2012 from the second owner listed on the back of the Annentafel.. I submitted for the SV Bescheinigung in October 2012... There is a missing signature, therefore the SV office is getting one of the ownership transfers recorded and the Bescheinigung will be sent... "
You have the Annentafel--the SV papers--but you do not have the Bescheinigung, and without that, the bitch can't be registered with the AKC. If it doesn't have the signatures of both owners in Germany, it's not valid. If it's not signed off on by Adel Haus as well, I don't believe it would be valid, either. You're gonna have to wait, like it or not.
Why would someone sell a dog before they have all the paperwork in order? I have no idea...gotta make the paper back? But people do it.
Just like people jump right in and immediately breed a bitch they just purchased when THEY haven't gotten the AKC papers yet, either. Gotta make that paper back.

Why would you breed a dog ( Hanna) who just turned 1 yr old?
Breed a dog that you don't have papers in hand?(different litter)
and this one really gets me 1250. and up for pups?
Now about a yr ago you had a litter of 12 pups and you advertised akc papers at that time.Now correct me if i'm wrong but didn't you have problems with the paperwork then because you didn't have them in hand either?
Now the parents on the 2 litters you have coming which ones have hips cert.?
On that litter of 12 I did contact you and you told me they were akc reg. and you had the paperwork.Next thing I read you are trying to get the paperwork.And i'm thinking it was because you hadn't paid for one of the dogs in full.
So this is the reason this post really bothers me you come on here and accuse someone of bad practices but you are no better.You said she lied hell you lied to me.

Hanna is 17 months old. I believed the people I purchased dogs from that I will be getting the AKC papers.
Your right I was paying a dog off. Nothing wrong with that. The people I purchased the dogs from knew why
I was purchasing them. I liked the lines and was going to breed.
When I had a large litter of 12 the economy was really bad. Yes at first, when they were born I was a bit worried.
But when they go closer to 8 weeks old and I saw their quality, drive etc. I knew I had a good litter.
I did not beg anyone to buy my pups. If I choose to reduce the price to get them into homes, that's my business.
I did want to trade to get different lines as well. Yes I got into a few sticky situations, who doesn't after 20 years.
I love my dogs and take excellent care of them. And nobody is going to say I don't !
