And I agree, for being described as being in a "violent flip or rollover" I see zero evidence of that, as well. And that's what happens when one discrepancy is discovered, it causes increased scrutiny on the rest of the story. And this one is not bearing up to that, IMHO.
But absolutely, if others feel differently, they should contribute. That choice of course remains on the chip in until Sept. 7, I think it said. The momentum however appears stalled, IMHO for good reason.

To me it seems these folks have very poor planning skills to leave on a move several states away with out proper funds and even a place to live.

This board was originally made for friends of the German Shepherd, not only and especially for working line people...
Even a working dog should have a show rating and a breed survey BEFORE breeding...
In my opinion, and I neither know Peter nor Petra, they moved to Kentucky out of desperation, maybe they weren´t able to afford Florida any longer, and this journey was their last attempt to survive in the States.
I heard they are German, it´s difficult for a German in the States, real friends are few and far between...believe me or not.
I am German, I have been in the States for a while, it IS difficult. - These 2 tried, and they failed.
I only wonder - if they are showline handlers, where are all the people they handled for right now? Nobody out there who ows them a good rating, who is thankful because of anything?
As long as there is success, people know you, as soon as there are any difficulties, most people don´t even remember.
No American problem, seems to be international.
Kind regards from Good Old Germany

Is this the same couple that were in Wisconsin a year or so ago?

Just like Bee, this makes me curious / wary.
Also on the road accident - OP said "jaws of death" were used to cut Petra out; going by the pix, no way was this a
"can opener" job, the roof was still on. =You gotta wonder. Don't matter to me if people want to send help,
financial or otherwise, that is their own business. Me, I've got very little, so I am particularly careful when & where
I donate.

Not a photo of a vehicle or a trailor in a roll over at speeds of over 50MPH. Not at any speed really.
So many other things I can point out but already done. People out of money finding a way to get some.
Call me whatever. As long as in the end you call me right. My wife can tell you how frustrating it is. Never the less, still right.
Scam.

Hey, for all those who are feeling charitable, Nadya Suleman, aka "OctoMom"--the nut-job who got her doctor to plant a litter's worth of human embryoes in her uterus--is needin' money, too, and working the stripper pole, doing a porn video and shilling for a loan company of dubious origin isn't paying the bills for her humongous brood...so SHE'S got a fundraising site going, too, and at least in her case, we've all seen proof of her chirruns existance. I won't give her so much as a penny I found on the sidewalk, though--she made this mess of her life willingly.
Or there's the gal that posted on here a few days ago, in the Off Topic forum, who up front admitted that it was unlikely that anyone would contribute, but who set up a fundraising site for her own expenses as she moves on to college and her own lodging. She doesn't claim any disasterous events in her life, no tragic injuries or extreme obstacles...she just presents herself as an average young adult from an average American family who works full-time in a job that offers no advancement, is returning to school because of that, lives in her parent's basement (and pays rent!) and has 4 GSDs. It's your basic 'if everyone gave just a nickel, it would add up to thousands of dollars' concept, which does have merit--and as a fellow vet tech, if I should come into some spare cash, I might just push it in her direction.
But this appeal? As I've said before--I can't help but feel the OP, and ziegenfarm and susie and SchaferhundSchH, are all being used as unwitting dupes, believing what they're being told because they'd met the 'victims' of this tragedy at some point or another and found them to be quite likeable [if con artists don't possess some level of charm and solicitousness, they aren't be able to ply their trade], or they're simply more trusting than some of us. It would appear that susie is starting to ask the right questions about this whole situation, though--where ARE all the people they've handled for in the show ring and breed surveys? Where are the folks they trained with when they were in FL, if that's where they last lived? I'm hard pressed to believe that there's a motel that's allowing them to live there with 8 dogs, also--after all, since the trailer is wrecked, and so is the van, where are they stashing those 8 dogs?
