Swingfield if you read my posts, and the other posts in this thread. This is not the person in need asking for the help. Keep in mind not once has the party this story is about, asked for any money. There is no reason to get worked up about not having the whole story before you donate money. They are not asking for money. They just want a place to STAY until/or they have a place to live.

We are working on trying to get them in contact with the people in their area who can really help. Some of the suggestions Chaz actually made.

Chaz
You are right the original post by Petra asking for help finding a place, has great suggestions. That is why they are not asking for anything more and are working on the problem as we all sit back and read.
Thank you for the suggestions Chaz.

It appears the OP felt they were in a dire enough situation, and cared enough to ask for help. The whole story is not the OP's place to share, and they do not have the stories and memories to play back in their head to remember details of. They asked for help without realizing how much people would want to know before they throw their money out there.
Thats all :)

Money isn't free to throw ... So it's prudent to know where it's going to land when thrown.

Oh. I didnt get worked up.. I was just confused.. I am not far from Ky.. where I live in Mo.. and was thinking I could possibly help.. I came across on post not quite what I was thinking! I am hoping everything works out for all involved..I cant stand the thought of precious dogs getting hurt and/or killed in any form!! I am willing to help.. but I cant seem to find a link to anything concrete ! again.. I hope it all works out for all involved and maybe tomorrow will shed more light on this situation ! sherry

I have never heard of being denied a rental because someone didn't arrive on a certain date. Nor can I imagine any one is actually trapped in a motel.  But you know, since you know them, and you feel good about what is happening with your donation, then that's all that matters.

Just donated...
If this story is true, 2 people and a couple of German Shepherds is sitting in the nowhere right now...
We spend a lot of money for nonsense day by day, this time spending some money might be helpful.
And don´t forget - the 2 people involved didn´t ask for help on this board, their friends did.
I don´t care if they do have a negative argenda or not, they need help, no accusations right now.
Kind regards

Suzie great post! Thank you for the donation! I have spoken with Petra directly. I cannot imagine being in their shoes right now. She did not ask ANYthing from me until I asked her for anything I can do. I called local stores to try and purchase bags of dog food over the phone they could then pick up for immediate relief. No store would do it for fear the card info was stolen. So I donated on the link provided. I have met these people in person. They are honest people, love their dogs, they are from Germany with like one family member in AZ if I remember right. If anyone wants validation on the story please don't hesitate to contact me. There are photos of the accident damage on the link provided.

This is the 2nd post this year for someone in the USA who doesn't have insurance to care for their dogs, the last one being a Sch.III dog.

They can own, breed and compete, travel with trailers etc but can't afford to take their dogs to the vets for medical treatment!
My guess is the monthly insurance premium is $30-, a meal for 2 at IHOP with a tip included. Thats comparable to extortionate European rates

I can afford to buy a Porsche but i don't have one because I couldn't afford the running costs, if I crashed it and didn't have insurance I can't expect those that do have insurance to cough up and pay my costs.

This is a tragedy for the dogs, and I firmly believe in charity to support those less fortunate than ourselves dogs or people, but I struggle with this; you own as many dogs as you can AFFORD (time/money) to care for and you must carry that burden as part of the privilege of owning a dog.
