I wasn't there, it was before I got the dog.  I was only told what happened later. I understand the owner is a nice guy, was very embarassed and apologetic. Dogs are dogs, sometimes the unexpected just happens. I agree it was on the handler, not so much the dog.

That's a better back up than some reining horses have ;)

Just trying to be understanding, Joanro.  I guess it could have happened to me too.

What's your ACTUAL experience with workingline dog aggression again?  Retract that, let's just go back to the topic and wait until we're finished before asking any questions.  And no more spitballs, or you can wait in the hall!

Damn, you got me Daryl, I made it all up just to piss you off.

It's not so easy to get under my skin.  Everyone knows who my true nemesis is, and given that she's recently added a showline component to her workingline breeding, I figured she would have chipped into this topic by now.

Oh darn, and I tried so hard to be number one. Okay, how about this - I  think that female you posted here could go V, maybe VA at the US Sieger? Does that move me up one place?

Nightie night.....

I have very little understanding of conformation showing, but thanks.  If true, it was certainly a fluke on my part :-)

Blitzen, its not a matter of criticizing WL, if the criticism is representative of the norm....I do it all the time. Really bothers SL people when I criticize WL because it undermines their feelings that WL people all hate just SL.  Like equating rescues and shelters with aggression in WL....Asinine!!!  First, seldom do you see WL in shelters/rescues, much more often you see Black and Red/Tn dogs. Second, most dogs in shelters aren't there for aggression....people move, people find out they have too much dog, people have change in family dynamics, many many reasons for the few WL you find in a shelter;  for there to be validity to correlating rescue/shelter WL with aggression, in most cases. Simply is very seldom the case. Same as your statement....out of thousands and thousands of WL today living in homes and having no issues and the proliferation of the "sport WL" who would rather chase a ball than a person....I just felt the statement isn't reflective of the norm. Wasn't meant to be mean as much as corrective( though I admit some statements I just shake my head and ignore). But if you have a criticism of WL, or any line; that is seen to often for the detriment of the breed....I will also pitch in with you and shed light on it. But I will also try to correct images projected that are infrequent and not really representative of a particular line. Just as we need balance in the breed, we need balance in our opinions based on reality.
