So you do know of what I speak. Just checking. You are being very coy.

@ Carlin.....Nevermind, it's not worth it.

Judron, you are entirely correct.  Thanks for putting it in perspective.

@bee - I been called a few things, coy is a first, lol; if you knew. You can take what I say for what it is. I don't have a horse (er dog) in the race, or a history or rep here to protect. Merely an outside perspective. If I take the time, it's probably benelevolent.

Ace--Thank you for the story behind Myra, the trainer.  Very impressive training.

With regard to Hans,  ..."You reap what you sow."

Carlin:   ".......some are so careless and reckless as to essential attempt to destroy another based on what amounts to little more than hearsay."        The situation with Chrissy was NOT "hearsay."

No, it wasn't, thanks for the confirmation though. The tunnel-vision continues to amaze...

by beetree on 18 January 2012 - 21:01

Hey Carlin, which tunnel are YOU driving in? LOL

Carlin, yes I agree.  The crew of 4-5 individuals are still going at it in circles, like a Dobermann with a favorite bone.....eventually, hopefully, they will move on.  The quickest way to encourage them to move on, is to completely ignore their comments, and hopefully, when there is no audience, they will get the hint.

Ace, you are amazing!!! I have worked with handicapped people for 30+ years. Usually totally altruistically or to just cover my cost. And Yes I have said that they are demanding and hard to work with and  they are. But that never, ever  stopped me to provide them with dogs and often training  for nominal price = without any profit to me and usually a loss and often for free. I have worked with people with many handicaps. Blind ,deaf, quadriplegic , mentally disturbed, young and old.  Ace, how many of hundreds of sessions  have you given?  How many dogs have you donated to such cause?" Besides, I have helped to develop breeding programs for none profit organizations dealing with handicapped here in USA and in Europe.
I gave 100ds of training session to handicapped people with no means  for  free and I have never asked anybody for recognition for that.
(Until now when you are forcing me to fight. ).
And for you Slamdunc to to say that I do everything with ulterior motive of promoting myself  and making money!? How do you know that? From talking to me one afternoon? Slam you have no clue who I am and why I do things. And what is your ulterior motive to be here? Should I question that?
By the way do you know why the name AlpineK9? (Really it is Alpine Safety K9 International) . That is because I have started first non profit S&R dog group in state of Wyoming in Teton county. ( Alpine Safety....= S&R).And me being EMT wolunteer for 2 years ? Also for money?
I have spend literally 1000s of hours training dogs for S&R for free at day or night, for many years . I have went on S&R actions which caused me to loose my job when I was financially struggling.  I have  donated several excellent dogs to that cause. I have never charged for S&R training to anyone. EVER. You may misconstrue it and twist it and say that I have done it to promote myself.  Go ahead ....
And as far as Ace goes. Ask Ace how many tens of free sessions he got from me and how much he paid me. He paid me for few sessions at the beginning  and then he paid nothing, except that he helped me few times with my computer and when I offered him money for that he said no you are doing form me too much as it is.
The time I used to spend here on PDB and giving my advice here and elsewhere has multiple purpose.  In this order of importance to me.
1. To promote working GSD which  I love. Specifically Czech old type GSD. I truly care for the breed.
2. To help people with their dogs. Because I truly enjoy to do that.
3. And yes to promote my business so that I can survive  and I can afford to  do the first two. After all if I will not promote myself who will? You sure as hell are not!
But I happen to enjoy what I do. I love dogs and  people who love dogs. And for you who think, that I am doing it just for the money, I would say:  You must be out of your wits!!!!!  By the way what do you do for the money . Something you hate?
FWI> Because of the dogs and lack of funds I have lived in the woods in Wyoming in minus 45*F or less,  for several months until I was hired on bases of room and board  by Shiloh shepherds. Than similar arrangement with Kimbertall kennels.   Then I have lived in a basement of a friend in NY.  And I rented  skeleton building to live in for 5 years.  My cars did not have AC until recently  and I live in AZ. Then I lived in a travel trailer whose windows and doors were knocked out  by my dogs and I could not afford to fix it. I can continue this sob  story but common over I  show you the trailer in which I lived for 10+ years and the $300 cars I used to drive.  YOu have no clue! I lived alone like that, often like a homeless bum  until about  5 years ago. Why!? Because I am rich!?  Only recently when I  met  Deb we put together her money and my few bucks which I have saved  in 25 years and we put money down on a house which is now probably  upside down. But now, finally I have actually a  roof over my head. My roof. ( Actually Bank's roof)
I have an education as a Engineering Geologist and Hydro-geologist.. I could  have done that  and live well.  I have chosen to do dogs instead. Because I love dogs,...
Even to give money to Krissy, which I did not have to do according to our contract and warrnaty and which you always bring up, was financially a major struggle for me. But I have done it.  Why because in my book,  it was a right thing to do. You proud yourself that you have forced me to do so. Well like with many other things, you  are wrong. Totally wrong.... You and your hate of me had nothing to do with it. And your jealousy of my money which is seeping from your  hate of me all over the PDB   is totally misplaced. My money?!? You surely are joking.
I suggest that you get outside and train your dog. Get a life.
 Hans
