First off I have NOT read this whole thread so if this has been already mentioned SORRY...

Second, I would like to say I own one showline male (retired as he is 8 years old now) and one working line (Czech/WGW cross).. My first GSD(who passed away several years ago) was a showline.. He was not the "typical" showline. I did both SchH and PP work with him. He did very well on the bite suit. He took several helpers/decoys down. Is this typical of the showlines..... HELL NO... I also own his son (the 8yr old).. who is mostly showline with some workingline and DDR mixed in. I did SchH with him. One time I had him tested by a guy who did PSA and Personal Protection work. I was actually surprised at how well Aiko did. The first test I sent him on a bite suit (his first time doing this) and the decoy had the laundry soap bucket filled with rocks and as Aiko came in for the bite he bounced in off of my dog. Aiko never stop and bit full and hard. Again, I had never done bite suit work with him before, just sleeve work.  I have not found another showline like these 2 dogs.... SAD.

I now am into the working lines as there has not been any showlines that I have like anymore... It is sad to see them seperated into WORKING LINE and SHOWLINES. So for now I will stay with my working lines..

There are 2 showline dogs that come to mind that are good working dogs and did/do great bite work.

It reminds me of the PT test when I was in the Marine Corps. Both men and women get to bear the title, but the girls PT test is a goof.

I could put it better, you can say those are dogs that can work, but f*** that, they are worthless and weak.

Glad you are all clapping yourselves on the back though. LOL Wouldn't feed a ONE of them.

We can refer to this as the overcompensation thread.
