It was a joke, I don't think a dog can be gay or can it?

ziegenfarm, I hear ya! DOMINANT and DOMINATE. One is an adjective, and one is a verb. I know it's bitchy, but it's like if you think you're experienced enough to label dogs like that, then you should at least use the proper terms.

And yes, this thread was hilarious. I love SSG's post still. I can just picture the video...

Could it be that the dog is a muslim, gay, dominate dog all at onceenlightened and all on the same dog!

My chihuahua taught my GSD at 8 months old.  He got it then.  Before he just sniffed where the girls had peed and squat there.  Now he does both.  I am not worried....He is a very capable dog........

I AGREE WITH ATC237. AND BTW I DON'T THINK A DOG CAN BE CONSIDERED GAY FOR ANY REASON, HOWEVER I WILL ASK ROMMEL(MY 10 MONTH OLD MALE) ABOUT IT SINCE HE STILL SQUATS TO TAKE A PEE. I THINK I WOULD BE MORE CONCERNED IF MY DOG COULDN'T PEE AT ALL FOR SOME REASON OR OTHER. SOME OF THE TOPICS ON HERE MAKE ME ROTFLMAO. OMG I AM LOOKING OUT MY WINDOW AND I SEE MY GAY DOG SQUATTING TO TAKE A PEE. GUESS I WILL HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE AND LIFT UP MY LEG AND SHOW HIM HOW TO DO IT THE RIGHT WAY!!!wink

Pharaoh

Well, this is very distressing.

When I brought Pharaoh home at 8 weeks old, he was lifting his leg.  He snorts and paws the ground when he is finished.

OMG!  He is nervy!

And ....... he is either gay or bisexual.  He is very charming and gets the male dog to cooperate but he tries to hide the activity.  He has noticed the bad reaction, especially from the other male dog's owner.  He hasn't met a willing female.  He is wildly interested when the female leopard catahoula hound goes into heat.  So, I guess he is Bi and I don't mean bicolor unless you count the gold in between his toes.

I am sooooooo disturbed.  Only the training movie with SSG as the screenwriter could cheer me up now.

Since reading the OP I have been keeping an eye on my two males and have concluded that in order to show both their male and female side, they both like to have a go at both styles of peeing. Further research led me to start watching other male dogs in the park. I noted that they all did the same and "mixed and matched" their pee position. I was on the brink of posting my findings in here this morning, when I came across a dog with a totally different style altogether. The return trip from the park involves walking through a narrow passageway and it is so narrow that one always exercises caution before entering with a dog as it is not the ideal place for 2 dogs and owners to easily pass. Anyway, as I looked down the passageway, which normally stinks off pee from those wandering home late at night after a few beers as well as countless leg cocking dogs, I saw a guy standing midway through waiting for his dog to pee. This in itself is nothing new but the dog was standing on it's rear legs with front paws on the wall peeing up the wall like a guy at a urinal. I watched speechless until the dog finished, jumped down and together owner and dog walked towards me. I moved my dog back to give them room to pass but as they exited the passageway, my curiosity finally got the betterment of me. I asked the man "how long has he been doing that?" only to receive the reply "eveer since a wall fell on him" and the guy walked off.
