I like the devils. I have them here. If I would have waited that long, I would have paid dearly. LOL The Mals will bite me in the gut or chest. The GSD will get my arms or hands. I don't do this with Basco, as he has no idea what I am doing. The one time that I tried to work him like that he stood there and looked at me like I was an idiot. Then he started growling at me. I don't think they did things like that in France with him. I let him have it, and it was an argument to get it back. He decided to guard it, and I was stupid enough to think he was kidding.

Hi Jeff!
Yes, I bred Theo, I have his mom Mira she just turned 10 years old.
I have his 2 half sisters Sam & Virgo.
Theo was returned to me at 7 months old cause the people were getting a divorce.
After having Theo back for about a week I noticed he was scared to death of men.
So I kept him thinking he was a broken dog, I knew that wasn't the dog I bred and that left here as an 8 week old pup.

After many, many hours of socializing Theo, he is a great dog, nothing bothers him, I believe now that the man may have abused him, but that is in the past now.
Today, Theo and I went to our first nosework class!

The video you saw was just me getting Theo out there to build his confidence up again after I had got him back, he now has his herding instinct certificate.

This is an e-mail I had gotten back in Sept. about one of my Sam/Xander pups "Venner" that is a rehabilation dog:

Hi Paula
I finally got a chance to video "Venner" at work It was during a speech session and he is shown retrieving objects off various locations and also opening the drawer! I have not yet figured how to transfer it onto my computer If all alse fails, I will put it on to a VCR tape & send it
I have decided to try hiking with him. he carries a pack well, has done this for a while- he always needs a job. I have been working with him on some of the situations in Kingston State Park, down the street from us. he climbs up & down hills well, under control, even helping me at times; does all sorts of paths, sand, paved, rocks, etc; does not try to chase ducks, other dogs, small animals etc; and he can do all his obedience among all nature's distractions!
I am taking him to Bear Brook this weekend
Thanks again for an incredible dog!
Linda

Thanks for this post, cause now I can't wait to see this video!!!

Deuce goes for whatever he can get his mouth on... hands, shoulder, nose... If I didn't know better I'd say there was Mal in there somewhere :) I got popped in the eye with his ball today. LOL The two toy game does not work for him :) Deuce has been doing extended area searches for his toy since he was 4 months old.

Did you and Basko come to an agreement after your incident? LOL

Let's see your's now Jeff.  I'm not a breeder but would love to see you put your money where your mouth is.
All I've seen you do is talk, talk talk.  Now's the time.  Put up or shut up.

So, you want me to post video of my yet to be born puppies ? I have no idea who you are. Notice the real name that you see when I post.

I did not video when I was breeding dogs years ago. There was no way to share it like today.

Besides, this is not that kind of thread. Go back and argue about real dogs or something on another thread.

I just won't argue with you.  It's pointless.

by Jeff Oehlsen on 10 January 2011 - 03:01

Thanks, it wasn't the kind of thread angry persons should comment on.

Jeff, I am impressed so far....nice thread...

....Melba your dogs look very nice....I have to be honest, I am partial to Felloffher's robust little group...They where big, fat, and feisty  for six little weeks old....
