Bit of a fancy bump really!!

by Alyson R on 21 April 2010 - 14:04

Any idea of the final entry number Steve?

Another disguised bump - but one which everyone is DYING to know!!

by stevef on 21 April 2010 - 15:04

Having emailed the secretary Paul Cassidy I am happy to confirm that the entry for the GSDL Regional Show is 193.
We have 65 males and 128 females.

From all of us here at the League thank you very much for such a solid piece of support. Thank You.

See you all there on Sunday. Weather looks great, lots of newbie ideas to have a look at, the show is being opened by a local sports star, various wellcome ideas,  young handlers comp, great prizes, quality assured. Schutzhund demo etc etc. Lets really try to make it something to enjoy. Hopefully we can establish something for this new era amongst healthy fit for function German Shepherds and show how things can be done.

Once again many, many thanks.

Nearly 200 entries! Absolute proof and not from the Taxi driver either, that there is huge support in the breed for this early initiative to show GSDs under rules that demand some level of health  test and in the approptiate class a working qualification.

The GSD League must be applauded for this initiative and the careful but purposeful way it is setting about grasping the opportunity to  make a diiference and  to show the public that theirs is an organisation that really cares about the health of the GSD by having this new type of show where Mandatory health tests are required before top honours will be given out.

What price  now a KC Champion? The General Public will discover, over a short period of time  the real  added value of GSDs bred by  breeders who produce puppies from GSDs who have passed some or all health tests and where appropriate working tests. The comparison to a standard KC registered GSD with no requirement at all to pass/test anything will  be so easily apparent that there will be a continuous and sustained swing  by the public towards those that do Mandatory testing and those that do nothing.
