The GPS collar for dogs is called "Zoomback" and the website is
www. zoomback.com.

She said she's on 40 acres so I'm assuming she's in a very rural area.  Not unheard of to let your dog loose on your property or even to visit a neighbor across the pasture.  Not saying that I would do it, I'm too spastic, but I will not judge.  I just hope she finds her.

GSDPACK

"Are you for real? You deliberatly let your dog roam every night and now you cry boo hoo hoo, my baby is missing?

If you get your dog back safely, try and be a responsible pet owner, will ya?"

wow what a nice thing to say.

I hope you are just havin a pretty shitty day to write something like that. If this is your true side:hell,  that is pretty deep and negative side of a person to show on a public board!

Halley 7 good luck finding your girl. I mean it! I am sure you will take precausion for the future. Now you know you girl is little more adventurous that you assumed.

Let us know.

go ahead judge me.. I don't care!

GSDSRULE

I don't care either.  The O/P is trolling for sympathy.

Did you miss the part about letting the dog loose on purpose?
Did you miss the part about how there is a HIGHWAY close enough that the o/p felt the
need to search up and down?

I hope the dog is found safe, but I'm not going to pretend the o/p didn't do something wrong.

I truly feel for her and hope she finds her dog but GSDSRULE has a valid point, even if he could have been a little nicer about how he said it.  Hopefully the OP has learned something from the experience.

DUH.....Oh oh,,,, I get it! Somebody needs sympathy so she needs to be stoped by you just in case she gets it? I hope you never need sympathy. She screwed up, she is probably beating her head on the wall already....so just in case she needs a little calm word, lets have GSDRULE stab he a little bit so she can go ahead and suffer a little more.

I love it!!!! :o(

Keith

Yes there is a valid point but the ignorance to someones pain and the need to poke at it a little more is scarier to me that someones mistake..

In my response to Halley, I nicely stated that perhaps she will be more careful in the future.  There's just no need to be nasty when someone is already feeling guilty.  I'm sure she's chastising herself enough right now, she just doesn't need her nose rubbed in it.  Hope it turns out okay and she's home safe and sound soon.  Shoulda, coulda, woulda, didn't, isn't going to help.

I truly feel for Jaime.  I can imagine how upset, guilty and worried she must be.  I had a dog missing for 23 hours once, and the worry nearly killed me.   But, Keith and GSDrules, as well as GSDpack, have  a point.

This is one of Jaimee's previous posts:

"It has been a little over a year since the mange and coccidia issues. The only problem that we have with her now is chasing deer around the property. She is soooo silly. The only good thing about deer is their antler's, they make great chew toys:-)"   (Emphasis added).

I am sorry, but this, coupled with a routine of just letting her visit down the road,  is clearly asking for a "disappeared" dog. If she chased a deer, or something else, who knows how far away she could be by now?

Jaime:  I hope you find her safe and well.  I also hope that you get a Zoomback to keep track of her, "just in case," because I am sure that you are done with just letting her run lose down the road to visit, or chase deer.

YOU KNOW WHAT, WE LIVE IN A VERY SMALL TOWN ON A VERY QUIET DIRT ROAD. IT'S WHAT WE DO,WE LET THEM OUT.........YES DELIBERATLEY. THERE ARE 2 HOUSES OUT HERE, THE REST IS FARM LAND.  I can't beleive you are pointing that out repeatedly.  I don't need to hear that over and over, please. For those of you sharing your stories of hope and happy endings, I appreciate you.  I contacted Home Again and they put out an alert to all vet's. I called my vet this morning to see if they got the alert that went out last night and they said yes and they posted it on their facebook page as well.   I went to the humane society and filled out a lost pet form & looked through the stray kennels twice with no luck.  T he police department says they will keep an eye out for her.  I have posted flyers everywhere.  I have combed over the entire properties dozens of times on the four wheeler with no luck.  I am located in Springfield, Nebraska.  I am worried sick, i'm gonna get outta here and look again before the sun goes down.  Thank you for all your support.
