Agree with Duke Steve - talk to a few other people who watch the dogs as well there - all say that there are stronger dogs whose trainers do not have the skill of Mr VandenBerghe.  He can make a nice dog look great - what would a great dog look like with his skills as a trainer.  Not saying they are not good dogs - but not GREAT dogs.  In other hands they would be average competitively - I HAVE seen Eros but not Como

Add to this - Eros was not so hot in libido.  Ellute used much more.

I too have watched all the main dogs working in Belgium including Como and that also includes Hasko of Christine Sonberg, He would have done very well in his own right had he not been injured to  stop him competing in the Final Selection Trial for the WUSV
Regards Ronnie, He is one of the best handlers anywhere, but he is not the be all and end all in dog handlers over here, there are many who can handle dogs just as competently, and would have handled Eros and Como well enough to get the best out of the Dogs
Whatever Eros lacked if you say so then all the other competitors he was competing against lacked a lot more for he won the WUSV twice and four times Belgian Champion, and if his son works as well as he has done he will be sure to give a good account of himself in Germany
I never miss a major trial over here in Belgium, and i guess both you and Duke must live over here in Europe, if you do then be at the Regionals for the Belgian Championships and we can have a Pincher together

Libido as in breeding drives.  Not on field. 

I get there 2 - 3 times a year on business.  Try to time trips to see big trials.

Steve - what dogs are STRONG - for get the training perfection.  which have POWER? Are they used for stud or are the point dogs getting the females?

I do not see what the sex drive of a Dog has to do with its work performance, Eros has not done a bad job in that area
Regards your next question that is difficult to say for there are many dogs who would come into that including Como son of Eros, Hasko, son of Zidane von haus Sevens ,  Zender son of  Udo van T' Quentawald, Arco son of Said EqidiusEik son of Dasty von der Berger, all these dogs have great Sires
Here we have Como,  Arco and Eik selected to represent Belgium in the coming WUSV
One thing you do not mention is the importance of the Female in the breeding, to me A top Quality Female is a real must, not only in Dogs but all living things in reproduction

Im not so much interested in what a dog shows on the final competitioday , but much more in his training , his problems and how his trainer solved it
I have a deep respect for ronny and HIS accomplishments , we know how much time ronny puts in perfecting the dog for competition , but like  I always say , if you breed to ronnys dog , all you get is his sperm , not ronny and not all the time he put in

You are correct in what you say, But i did not pick a Pup from Ronny's dog just because it was from Ronny, I picked the Pup for its ancestry, for instance Tom van't leefdaalhof  i like his line very much plus the quality of Dog through out the Pups pedigree both sides Dam to me is important and the dam of this Pup Babsi  is a very good female and i know her temperament well and have seen her working many times, she is a real beautiful dog and a willing worker although she does none of that now but is still kept training
Who knows we may meet at the Interland Championship when Holland versus Belgium later on in the Year,

Just to say, that the Pup from Como i will be picking up next Friday, is given to me Gratis by the breeder, she will not cost me any money at all, When he heard about the unfortunate accident of young Heidi he told me he would give me another Pup free of my choice from his Breedings, and whatever sex of Pup i picked i would have first choice, He is a genuine Guy
