Deep down inside, you really like those black and reds, don't you Slam? LOL.... just kidding.
For me the really striking feature of a sable GSD is that the dog has a primitive, unspoiled look compared to the black and reds. That is very appealing to me; I am big on survival characteristics and the original intent any dog was bred for. To me they look more utilitarian, more intimidating and more able to tend a large flock of sheep.

Q man what a beautiful body on that sable girl. WOW: Sun I absolutely love this bitches head; and love, love, love Funny, if fact I could close my eyes and pick any one of these dogs to call my own. Absolutely LOVE that dog Boomer,
Slam is the once where he is on the car a recent photo. WOW. He looks GOOD.
Dawulf your photographs are stunning, your talent is extraordinary. Dogs are really hard to photograph and you have captured it well...
All the just beautiful. Happy Holidays Nan

Aaaahh that got blown out of proportion a bit.... I'll admit, I was the dislike on poor Boomer. It was an accident. I was on my "smart" phone and my fat fingers hit the wrong thumb. I did not realize it right away, unfortunately, and have since corrected it! I can assure you all I LIKE Boomer a lot!
If I remember correctly, he is actually a half brother of the first dog on my last picture post - the dark sable carrying the sleeve... if he is HALF as good as that dog, he is one hell of a dog! And for the record, I am not a fairy!
Anyway.... sorry!!
And thanks Nans! They are my favorite subjects.
