Sita's Mom has a very good point here. No matter if you are the dad or the mom, a newborn is a lot of work, so is a puppy and even more so, if the puppy is in the house. There will be lots of sleepless nights and cleaning up and everyone will be stressed more than usual with either one of the new family members.
It would be more responsible of you as a man to take care of your children and wife as much as possible and wait with the pup until later.
Each their own, but this is a great potential to fail on many areas....

Complimenting someone else's dog doesn't make me feel like I'm taking anything away from or in any way threatening people's opinions of my own fine dog(s)... anymore than complimenting another woman makes me feel somehow ugly. It never has. I am not insecure like that.

Tell you what. I'll pull out some videos of my dog's power in the bitework when I get back East to my storage unit. IF you'll pull your dog out of mothballs, where he's been since, what? Age two? 'Bout the time he landed in the US?

Don't forget, I saw a dog that looked (curiously) like the exact same one in the much-discussed photo  back away from the helper, turn and look for encouragement from its handler (which he never got) interrupting the guarding for what seemed like forever but was probably no more that 5-10 seconds (5-10 pts.) out by the manure pile behind the barn.

I've been around a long time, seen and trained a lot of good dogs. I can see through crappy training and handling, to the dog itself. I do have to remind myself occasionally, when necessary:
The most successful breeder breed their female to the bloodlines a dog carries, the success the dog has already produced...and then to the dog itself, not to the nasty owner, the disasterous training, the tedious bragging and the shameless self-promotion.

If I could have taken my bitch to Bomber at the time, of COURSE I would have! Thus far, (as predicted by the breeder) Boomer is the star in the family, hands down, with looks to die for and several titled, Koer'd progeny already, and many more due to hit the databases in the next few months. Why keep the brother around? He isn't going to get the same quality of females in his Deckbuche as the brother...
Sell him to America!

Hi,

Thanks again to all the reply,

@Redsable : I know the price doesn't mean anything.  I'm not going to go with the most expensive pups like that.
Don't worry.  I just have some limit for a dog.
  Thanks again.

@ Sunshine & Sunsilver thanks for the suggestion. I will take a look.

@Tingiesand Tail.   I 've already 1 dauther so I have good idea of the responsibility to be a father and a dog owner.  Don't worry I'm fully there for my wife and dauther.  I'm agree it doesn't matter if you are the man or the women. I specified the fact I'm a man  because at the begginning some people used "she" for the OP.  Also like I specified I won't buy a pup tomorrow.   We will wait.  But it's the entire familly that want a dog not just me.   Buying a dog is an engagement for what? if everything goes well,  10 years maybe.  Buying pure breed GSD doesn't cost 5$  I think you know all this.   It's why I started my search in advance to have a couple of trusted breeder that's all.

Like I said previously : Finding an honest breeders is my goal that's the intention of my post smiley using some recommandation and experience.
I did some google search like "  GSD kennel or working line gsd".  I will find some Kennel.  If I fall on a good breeder perfect but if not, how could I know before buying the Pup?  I don't think  a bad kennel will tell me in advance: "  you know we charge big price for not that much or we are going to receive the money but we aren't going to send you a dog." smiley I don't think so that's why I came here.

For example now for Alpine K9 and Hans .  I have maybe maybe 10 person that told me it's a fantastic kennel.  Thats's what I was looking for.

Thanks again.

Where are the videos of your wonderful special dog T working Shelley?  Let's see 'em.  Can't wait.  And, what has he produced again?  He should have produced something of note, he's had enough time to put his stamp on some offspring out there, somewhere...  while we're at it - you have been around the block so many times I forget how many dogs you have taken from puppy to title - how many was that again?  And,  how many from your very own breeding?  Please refresh my memory on that, I'm sure it is a very impressive number and scores too!
