snaffydog: There is absolutely nothing surprising in that allegation. It has been all to obvious for years.

Subject: Team for the WUSV worldchampionship
 A reminder of WUSV  direction

Dear Sirs,

very often we were asked by the two Great Britain member clubs of the WUSV about the team for the WUSV world championship.

This is the decision of the WUSV member meeting:

In every country in which there are two WUSV member clubs the two clubs have to make one trial and the best competitors, no matter from what club they are, can participate on the WUSV world championship.

Best regards

Clemens Lux

Weltunion der Vereine für Deutsche Schäferhunde (WUSV) e.V.
- Generalsekretariat

The GSDL working group executive  have been working hard to achieve this, a level playing field, to determine the best dog and handler teams to go forward to WUSV 2010 to represent the UK
How about a response from BAGSD VPG on your intentions and response to Clemens Lux email ,and from the GSDL WG Executive as to how you are going to push this through ,WUSV have stated what is necessary ,are the KC going to support GSDL in enforcing the requirements laid down by WUSV
This is a great opportunity to clarify the qualifications for a UK team place at world events
To the rest of the GSDL members, support your working group executive in pursuing this important selection criteria ,direction from WUSV says it all ,do not let it go for this year ,and set a presitent to ignore future directives

I would expect the GSD League WDG to formally write to the BAGSD requesting an urgent Joint meeting to discuss this very important communication from the WUSV.

The subject matter is urgent and imminent, so prevarication, avoidance or denial should not be allowed to become established and certainly not prevail in 2010.

Failure by the BAGSD to make every possible attempt to comply with the WUSV decision should be dealt with speedily, urgently and with real determination.

The Schutzhund Sport here in Great Britain has for far too long tolerated the self serving, self opinionated and pathetic excuse of a Schutzhund/VPG/IPO organisation going by the tites of BAGSD-VPG and/or BAGSD-VTD, the common part being the discredited BAGSD, an organisation that should much more appropriately become the BABC - British Association of Border Collies
