Jeeves with all due respect at least what I write on here is done under my own name, proof I have the courage of my own convictions, whether you or anyone else respects them or not is up to each individual, unlike you I do not hide behind anonimity , my open, honest approach allows me and my views to be scrutenised, checked out, followed up, offered up for debate and yes even ridicule. I therefore fail to see what it is I said in my previous post that you consider name calling? Who precisely did I call names and what name did I supposedly call them?

Meanwhile, where did you get the idea that any of us was walking away from the Kennel Club? Not signing the KC's latest specially GSD designed Undertaking along with its questionable legality, can hardly be considered as walking away from the Kennel Club, the withdrawal of KC CC;s which can be awarded to any displastic animal is hardly earth shattering. Indeed it is a small price to pay to keep hold of our Freedom and the right to hold alternative events without having to run to the KC for permission. Who exactly do the KC think they are, that they believe they have a right to inflict punishment on those who do not do as they say ? Jeeves, I tell you since my ancestors were prepared to lay down their lives to protect my right to freedom, I will be darned if I will give up those rights to a dictatorial body like the Kennel Club. This is my hobby for goodness sake, I dont need a load of dictators telling me how I must enjoy it , so when they try to do so by issuing punitive threats, I believe I have every right to be angry and oppose them in every Legal way at my disposal.

I have written this morning to the Gen Sec of BAGSD and to Mr Winfrow and Mr Ward. I have aslked for clarification that there will be a "cut off" date for votes to be in to this matter.

I did this, as reading through my BAGSD Branch Sec letter from Mr Wayne Lacey, it didnt give a cut off date for votes to be in, it just told us that the EC committee is meeting again on 21st Feb. It occured to me that this might be the counting of the vote date.... it needs to be said to us, not intimated ... if this is so.

With all the consternation going on around the voting process, I am anxious that the BAGSD EC dont decide that the 21st will be the day they count their votes in by then. It would be most unfair if they did, as there has been no cut off date given anywhere, nor on their home page in the paragraph that has been written about this issue

On 20th Feb the Breed Council meeting will I am sure have "lively debate" about this issue, and BAGSD meet the day after. That is no time to count votes for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, p[eople are waiting to hear what is said at the BC meeting regarding this, so there is no time for people to have this informed view that they may be waiting for to hear at the BC meeting... to vote.

Secondly, from 21st Feb to 31st March gives valuable time for letters to go out, (almost 6 weeks) for people to research and decide - and answer with the vote being timed after that, perhaps 2 weeks before the deadline for the KC. I am hoping for an answer from some-one so that this point can also have the utmost clarity for its members. Mo.

Mo, any news from the BAGSD EC about the cut-off date? My husband went to his BAGSD branch (Reigate) and no-one mentioned anything to him about it - and I asked him to let me know what was said

That is a worry Alyson, thanks for bringing this up. the answer is NO I havent had a reply, so will email again. There is a post on one of these threads that asks why dont we go direct to the EC and ask our questions.- well this is exactly why, you dont get replies until you insist.... my daughter has sent emails asking for a reply within a time scale, and that seems the only way that you get a reply, but it shouldnt be that way

So your husband went to Reigate branch and nothing was said, and the vote could be next Sunday, and no-one will have got their votes in

DONE DEAL - few voting members, only ones who are genned up - DONE DEAL I am still searching for the democratic club here, I must have the patience of jobe, because they are doing nothing to give us faith that they are acting in the best interests of their members, I now want to know how many peopleon this forum are thinking like I am (just in case I am being podantic) this should also allow the EC to know that their membrs are not happy bunnies

and for the EC members that are reading this board - by their own admission, and not liking it, let me say this

We are at this point

A vital issue re the GSD.
A paragraph on your website - hyperlinks to the issue
No information  by way of a cut off date for votes
visitors to branches and nothing mentioned
the fear that the voting could take place in one week
no response to several requests asking who and when the vote wil be counted by or when

In fact - NO RESPONSE FULL STOP.   Bob Honey told me byh phone a while back that he has forbade his EC members to come on to this board - Andrew thinks I have been unfair to BAGSD EC - but you have a perfectly good board yourselves by way of a website - it gives NO GUIDANCE    -   while you are all licking your wounds, feeling sorry for yourselves that you are getting a trouncing from this forum, please ask yourselves why.  Ypou could have it all sewn up by now and being delat with efficiently.   Mo.

Can I see who is thinking the same way as my branch members are - or are we on our own? just write BUMP and perhaps double BUMP if you are also a member of BAGSD

A very knowledgable, first hand BUMP from me Mo. That is why I will never be a double bump again. I am particular which coffers I put my pennies into, the KC are mandatory (if you want a registered GSD that is), the BAGSD are not. I see nothing has changed since my time there as Gen Sec, hence the reason I resigned after 6mths, there is only so much underhand deciet one can take. Thankfully this affliction is not attributed to all EC members I hasten to add, sadly just the majority of those in charge. I do hope someone from the GSD League is copying all the posts from this thread thus proving how much this Clubs EC is held in distain. Do we really want these people representing us Brits on the WUSV Stage? Like a bl**dy hole in the head we do!!
So in a nutshell, NO you are not paranoid , all the best Mo

I see I went a bit dyslexic on my last post. - it should read clearer than that if I hadnt been spitting feathers whilst writing, must get a bit calmer about this, but this club should be the stalwart - and its making a fool of itself Mo.
