That was awesome of Steve to take the pictures for us huh? Looking at Indi's color compared to the other pups I have a feeling she is going to be colored more like Hetty than Zasko. He markings look kind of grayish and the boys have more reddish tinge to them. I am super excited! Should have her all paid off in a couple of weeks and then the real waiting will begin.
Hey they should be opening their eyes right about now :-)

Rik,
I agree completely. Our breeder doesn't even give clients the option to pick themselves. We spent the day with her in her home and discussed at length our intentions for the dog, our opinions on food, training and raising dogs, etc. Long story short, our pup turned out to be perfect for us and has accompished everything we set out to do with her. She was also easy to train and turned out great despite our limited experience (and mistakes) when we started out 2 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to let our breeder chose again. She did as well chossing as we could have and very likely much better.

Steve, You are the best!
KileysHuman, I agree about having the breeder choose the pup 100%! Especially for new owners/handlers. Until I am more experienced, I'll continue to do that.
Luckily I have a very forgiving dog and I too, like all new handlers have made a lot of mistakes with my male.
Jason, you keep looking at the pig pile because you know one of those boys is yours :-)

Unless you are in the same country as the Pup being bred there is no way a person can pick a Pup themselves, unless they go by a Photo, which is okay if that is what they want, I would think not everyone wants a high driven little Puppy and not everyone is going to work the Pup,
Some want a Dog as a companion and house pet so i would guess some Pups in a litter would be more suitable than others for that purpose
If you are looking for a Pup for the Sport Of ScH then better speak to the breeder and get them to pick it for you there is no other choice they know what they are looking for and in this instance the breeder certainly does
With me i was lucky i had my pick and from a young age i watched the Puppies then i picked Izzy, but saying that to be fair i only had two choices but had i not found what i was looking for in her as a female i think i would have been given the chance of a Male seeing i was the first person to ask about them even before the litter was concieved,
But then she cost me nothing in money as she was a replacement for young Heidi of which he did not have to give me but as i said he is a really genuine breeder as well as a friend,

Steve, Izzy looks like such a great dog. What happened to Heidi?
Stacy, you know how you told me to say the names I'm considering 500 times and see which sticks. Well, everytime I look at the pics all I can think of is calling it "pigboy". So ... naming needs more work ...
