I'm sure I did not intentionally "talk down" to you.
But at least now you hopefully understand a little more about health issues than you did.

Health tests are there for a reason, use them !

To all those who say this post wanst a mistake. It was. End of.
I liked the look and the sound of these dogs. I didnt look at the hip scores, till someone pointed them out after i made this post. But i already made the post and felt stupid then i made myself sound more stupid by trying to defend that decision.
Prager, you have given advice and it wasnt taken and then ignored. Am human just like everyone else and i just didnt use that advice when i was looking at these dogs after my mate told me he was buying from them. I got carried away by the good looks of the dogs. I have said in the past and i will say again i wasnt even 100% going to contact them, i was just at the early stages of seeing the attraction in their dogs. I didnt mean to offend you or the odd person who seem to know what their talking.
If you all are wondering. My mate doesnt know about this post and i dont intend to let him know about it. He is really excited about the puppy.
I will say though. You people dont give advice in a nice way, you make someone feel low and almost bully them untill they feel like their the lowest of the low. Yes you make good points but you bully people constantly and gang up on them. A few people have stated in the past that half the new people that sign up never come back on here again cause they felt so belittled by you all. I know that feeling, you all give me it constantly.

To be honest the bulk of the advice you were given was not "bullying" at all. Most of the replies were to the point and concise, yes there were a couple that were a bit rude but thats people for you.
You will find that people will give you their honest opinions,if you then go on to disregard the info given to you then yes some will get a bit cross with you.
jj73 I agree with you there. What do these Breeders think health tests are there for if not to use them and abide by them. My dogs are happy but when you look at dogs without HD that CAN move and CAN run and CAN jump and do all the things other dogs can do it infuriates me to think that these people just don't give a damn.

I am sorry that you feel that way. As a matter of fact I would say that most people were giving you straight answer without beating around the bush. That is not "talking down" to you. I prefer to say 1+1=2 instead of : if you would kindly, with your permission consider one and then you add gently to it another one than that is, if you permit me to to say so and if you do it in your due time,... then in this three dimensional world you may consider that you will get number 2. No I say and most people here say 1+1=2 .
And I mean it the best possible way without any intention of talking down to you.
Take it or leave it. No offense intended.

if you like the looks of these dogs, perhaps you need to be looking for another breed. they look like old time herding dogs so maybe you need to be looking at something along that line. my granddad used to have some old farmbred herding dogs that were built like this - had some collie and other stuff in them. good dogs, but definately not gsds.

your mate will thank you, I'm sure members on this forum would be happy to steer you in the direction of some responsible breeders who breed beautiful examples of the breed.
I hope these posts opened up your eyes. You were close to getting a dog from these terrible breeders. We are in a war right now to get rid of those sick people breeding for money and ruining our breed.
Sometimes we have to be blunt, harsh, and downright rude to get our points across quick enough to show you what you are doing is very bad.
We were just trying to grab the kids hand before it touched the stove.
At first it isn't nice, almost looks mean with how harshly we grabbed your hand.....
But you will thank us later when you are old enough (have the knowledge of the breed) to understand what we did for you.
