 Molly:

I think you need a hug more then me...

by Ibrahim on 10 June 2011 - 22:06

I don't like to argue but even if it's legal since the owner of photo does not agree to using it, removing it was the correct thing to do. OP most probably didn't mean harm, she even may not know the name of the dog. Molly's dog is a good specimen of the breed im my opinion.
Carol vom Arolser Holz picture can be used as a good example when explaining the details of the GSD breed standard, he's very correct.

Or maybe the OP can use a picture of the bitch you two co-owned.

by eichenluft on 11 June 2011 - 03:06

LOL Shelley - T is a great pet dog.  Bandit is a great dog - there is no comparison to be made.  You used my dog for breeding and are on record praising him highly - there are many reasons why I never was interested in using yours...I only use dogs who have power in the gripwork.  T did not.  .Or maybe you have a video of  him doing bitework so people could see for themselves what a powerhouse he was?  LOLOLOLOLOL

anyway, thanks to the OP for thinking my dog a good example of what he was looking for in the dog of  his dreams.  He just needed to go about it a different way - asking permission from the photographer and/or owner of the dog would have been a good first step, or at least giving credit as to what dog it was.

Doesn't matter now.  Beetree, photo copyright laws are not the same as written word copyright laws - they are much simpler.  Photographer owns the picture, period.  Take it without permission and without proper credit, and use it - against the law.

Being a raging b*&^% for no good reason except wanting to make everyone as miserable as you are? Perfectly legal.

Hi,

To start I would to take all of you to have taken the time to give advice and help.
I've just completed to read all the reply.  Wow.  What a day.  I didn't expect that especially about the PICS.  But  Life is life. There was only one attemp with my original message.  Receive advice from Pro breeder or owner that have good experience with Alpine K9 or another kennel in Canada or USA for  Working Line GSD.    Unfortunately half of the discussion was on a pics I included originaly.   Basically 2 subject.

I will reply with 2 message.

The first 1 about the pics and for Molly.  The next one for the rest of the world.

Molly or (eichenluft).  I want to apolagize for the use of the picture.    At the end of my original message I said well let's find a pic to show what I mean.  Then Google on ''sable GSD''.    I took a really nice pics and included it in the message.  It could have been somebody else picture.  It was lotery basically and I pick yours.  I still think the dog  is amazing. There was no bad intention. It was maybe useless too to provide a picture of the type of color I was talking about with so many professionel and knowledge on this forum.  (I mean your picture and the dog was identified in less than couple hours.:-)  Again my mistake.  I never thought about copyright or stealing your pictures.  I respect your work as photographer and breeder.   In other hand:

I don't think that I caused you too much damage so far except telling everybody that I like your  dog and the pictures.     Also you could also have proposed me to visit your own website and kennel because you are in the business.   I found alpine K9 but that's just what I found I'm really open to any other kennel. Before writting the current message I looked at your kennel.  I have only one thing to say : Amazing dog they looks great.
But that being said don't you think it should ring a bell to a breeder when they see a possible buyer interested to their dogs?  You will agree with me that your focus was on the pics I used as an example and  not on the fact that I search for help, advice and good GSD Working line kennel like ALpine K9 and others kennel like yours and that I'm looking eventually for a dog. I understand you wanted to protect your pictures but there is maybe way to present your point to a potential buyer.  I learn something today.  Watch copyright on Pics.  I hope you learn something too.

Again I'm sorry to you  and all people to this forum.  That was not my intention to cause a problem.
I just hope that it's case close about this because really it wasn't the goal of the OM.

p.s.  Now the pictures is removed by an admistrator (thank you).  I wasn't there during the day but I don't think I could have done it myself anyway because even when I try to edit the original message.  I receive something like this :  This message is too old it can't be edited.  Anyway it's done.

A good friend of mine uses the phrase "It is what it is."

I'm glad to see that you handled it so well, Storm, and good luck with your future dog. :)

Hi,

The real subject now.
Thanks to all of you for your help and advice.  I've received some other kennels suggestion.  Basically a lot of material to study without counting the PM.

& Bob.Thanks also for the welcome Bob. Yours message were also funnysmiley.

&CPHUDSON.  What a dog.  Really beautiful. I've never seen one like this before.  It's really an incredible dog.yes

Basically about Alpine K9 I have only positive message.  So it would be in the kennel I will keep in mind.

About me.

1.  My wife is pregnant not me smiley.  I'm a man.
2. I live in Quebec Province just near Ottawa(Capital).
3.  I will wait for sure that everything goes well for the baby before rasing or select a new pupies.  So it could be this fall or maybe next Spring.
I wanted to start my research in advance to be prepare especialy if I choose a dog from  location where I can't visit the kennel before.
4. About prey drive.  It.s not a concerns.  I have a really good dogs trainer that is a GSD breeder and knows shutzund.  Like some people said I maybe don't need the top prospect for a top level shutzund.  But I want a natural guardian, stable and healty. I'm sure there is something in the middle between the biggest low profile and the highest drive level.  Like a said all the kennel I've seen around my place use I think what you would call German show line.  The color is more black and tan or black and red.  I have no complains on these dogs .  These kennel have great & beautiful dogs and a lot of them are really good breeder.  However I guess I fall  in love with the sable coat/black sable.   I know it's not just about color but at the end color is one of the criteria.  To me it seems that coat color is more present on Working line.  It's something I noticed.
Plus maybe when pelple will see a dog like this in my area it could become more popular.

I will take a look at all the suggestion and the PM.

Obvioualy Canada and USA are big countries.   A kennel inVvancouver means the same thing to me than one in Arizona distance wise.  At the end reputation, recommandation, price will determine my final choice.  Price is important for sure.   I don't want to spend 5000$ smiley.      And who knows maybe I will find a Kennel with what I want that is close enought to visit but I think for my personnal preference I will need maybe to accept kennel not near my location either in Canada or USA.  Again if I can't visit the kennel because of distance I want to have external reference and recommandation before sending a big amount of money there.

I could probably ask more question eventually don't hesitate if you have other advice.

Thanks again for all
