Jenni78

Me too me too me too! I have seen/had a couple who were really talked up to be scary. Even the worst one never put a hole in me. It's like they transform magically. I don't get it.

Anyone willing to take the chance I will be more than happy to pay you exactly what you paid for the dog if he turns out to be other than described.

Tough economic times I'm afraid or I might take you up on that.

Jenni78  perhaps we should start a rescue for those kinds of dogs only (if we could find any) and apply for non-profit status. :)

Sorry Jeff......back on topic......you need a haircut!!! LOL

SSG,
Just as I thought.
I knew an excuse wasn't far off.

Jenni,
Name one, and who told you that the dog was scary.

OGBS, why in the world would you think you would know either the people or the dog?!  Are you some omnipotent superpower in the dog world now and I missed the memo? Would you like a list of the dog's name first or the person? LOL

And you still haven't even told us how much the dog is! I'm calling bull----. ;-)  Let me guess, you can't just tell us who the dog is, who the person selling is............this is one of those things where you have to arrange it because you have exclusive insider knowledge. <rolleyes>  Now, if I have sufficiently provoked you, please spill the details;-)  Thank you.

Jeffy, dear, you do need a haircut. And you are not that old. Lose the weight before you really are fat. I think you are cute in your floppy hat.

GSDPACK

My friend had a dog, GSD and something that ren byt the dam those many years ago at the right time. He looked like an ugly GSD. He was ZVV3 titled, very strong animal but if my friend pissed him off... he had no issue to come up the leash and try to kill him, so he chocked him off a little and off to the new adventures they went.

after 8 years he put him down, he had a babby and the dog was not suited for a toddler! My friend had a complete recostruction of his shoulder after the last  disagreemet. What a dog!.. could not stand his mixed ass!.

If you're serious about the dog, I'll put you in touch with the person in Germany. He can give you all the info you need. You know how to contact me. I don't own the dog and don't know if the guy wants his name or dog posted on here, haven't asked. I don't have any special insider knowledge, and there is absolutely nothing in it for me. The dog was offered to me through a friend and I turned it down. I still like myself a little too much and readily admit that my handling skills are not up to the capabilities of that dog. Many others with far greater skills than I also took a pass. I'm sure that you and SSG with all your magic skills could handle him, though.
I'll also have to call bull.... :-) about all the bad ass dogs that have been brought to you that were putty in your hands. Who would bring them to you? And, why? I'll even go a step further and let's say that they did. Were you just holding the leash having a conversation with the person, or, did you take the dog and actually do something with it that might require the dog to be obedient to you?
Ask Angie what happened to her, which wasn't nearly as bad as what happened to the owner of this dog, when they first obtained the sire to your second litter with Capri.
She has far greater handling skills than you and I don't think it was what she would call fun.

You are a funny guy OGBS. All I asked originally is what a dog like that might cost. You know...one with issues. I assume it would be a lot cheaper. Many dogs like that have either been put down or given away for free to someone who might actually be able to do something with them. I was curious....my mistake. You can call bull all you want but you don't really know for sure do you?

OGBS

I absolutely know what the guy wants for the dog, if he didn't sell it already.
I also provided you with a way to find out, you chose not to take that route, so be it.
Don't lose any sleep over it, you already said you can't afford it.
My guess is you just want to know, regardless of the price, so that you can go in to more of your typical nonsense on this board. Sorry, I don't play that game.

Steve, I don't know what you're even talking about with people "bringing" me dogs who then become "putty in my hands" (that's more a description of a pathetic, desperate man than a canine trait anyway). I think you're reading a bit more into my post than is there. I merely was agreeing w/SSG that we don't seem to be able to find these dogs when we're looking for them, yet people claim to have these big problems with them. Every one of them has been a let down.

Ooooh, now you have secret Chico (just say his name; stop pretending to by coy) info too, because you're such good friends with Angie, right? Gosh, someday I hope I get close to your celebrity status to get such insider info. Angie told me all about Chico and her trials and tribulations with him on the phone, in her kitchen, on her deck, by my car, on the phone again. I asked and she told me, best I know. She hid nothing about that dog that I'm aware of.  She appears to be a straight shooter, though I don't claim to be best buds with someone I only met a few times....hint, hint.

As many people would attest to (people who actually do know me), I am pretty careful about breeding. I would never, ever, breed Capri to a dog I hadn't spent time with firsthand who had the reputation Chico has. Handled properly (as she obviously learned to do as evidenced by their good relationship!), he is a perfectly stable, intelligent dog with strong character who produced well with Capri. One son is a virtual clone of him and I am still kicking myself for not keeping him. Not for beginners, but that wasn't my aim. I will undoubtedly be breeding her to Chico again.

Ironically, I was warned that CAPRI was like that...yet I have seen nothing even hinting toward that, which I believe is the same phenomenon SSG cited.

I am a bit curious as to how you would even know how I handle a dog, as you've never seen me handle a dog at all. I don't think the very few times I've even met you I even had a leash nearby, so what my handling skills are or are not is a bit of a jump. Let's not expound on your handling skills.......

You still cannot simply state a price as SSG asked for out of what I interpreted to be simple curiosity. I was also curious as to what the market bears for a dog of that reputed temperament. I am not in the market for another male dog right now, and yes, I guess I would know how to get ahold of you should I care to. I could just unblock your emails and texts!

Jeffy, I am sincerely sorry for muddying up your thread. I have tried to be nice-ish for many years but this guy won't quit and won't go away.  I am honestly ashamed for even lowering myself by replying as I did, but I'm just fed up!!! Sorry to the mods as well. I tried to keep it civil enough to not warrant too much work on your part;-)
