Would it be possible to pm me those pedigrees for my research on my dog only. It might shed a light on where the issue has arisen from because my lad has no lines going back to the usual 'suspect's.
As I said before, I do not wish to point the finger but I do wish to gain a greater understanding of what was going on in his ancestral breeding.

Now that Sunsilver found the pedigree of the first of those two UK exports on here, I take back part of what I implied in my earlier post about him likely being 'just pet' breeding. He has his BH (not such a frequent finding in the UK, still) and he is likely being bought for a Working home in the States, since he has some decent German working kennels and a couple of the same in British ones behind him. He has also, wonder of wonders, had his hips & elbows done. He honestly seems quite unusual for a UK export, but maybe the tide is turning and we will see more of these to come; I hope so. Not a bad thing for the UK economy either, I guess.
Still has a crap and uninformative choice of Registered name though ! I do not forsee him becoming part of the AKC / ASL 'scene'. And he would not do well, on structure, at British (SV style) Breed Shows on the strength of his accompanying photograph either - though I doubt that bothers any of the humans concerned in the transaction. Actually I very much doubt he would be high in the cards under one of our pro-Alsatian Breed Show judges either. But as long as he can 'work', and those involved are concerned with that, barring genetic or other accidents along the way, I'm sure he is a perfectly nice dog. Whether he can be regarded as 'breed typical' is really an issue for those of us purist enough to care about such matters.

Re: Gurneys Day After Tomorrow - that dog is not in the PDB, but the kennel is. Predictably, they breed and sell blues, livers and whites:
Also longcoats...

Edit: Blue Dream is a variety of marijuana! [rolls eyes]

Brady Bee, where did you find that link? I can't find Wolfzone. I DID find the kennel that imported Wolfzone's Master of Devon: http://vonsilakennels.com/male-german-shepherd-finn/

the only way to point to a single dog causing it is of course by multiple instances, which information gleaned across a broad audience as this makes possible.

This NY website ( a kennel where they only breed the 'finest' GSDs ) indicates on careful reading that like others which rely on breeding 'off Standard', what they care about most is the $$$ - as ever, 'follow the money'. Concern for buyers who down the line have a fitting dog ? Nah, not so much.
