Unilateral HD moderate

With such poor positioning, you can make just about any hips look bad. The right hip probably isn't the best, but a better x-ray is in order before you submit them or make any sort of decisions concerning your dog.
No way in the world would I submit these for evaluation. Yes, you got ripped off. Find a vet that does these all the time and is recommended to you. Any vet that takes pictures without any identification on them, doesn't know what they are doing, and that is your first clue. Your second clue is that they had a hard time positioning him while he was unconscious. Ridiculous!

kamilion, do not say that you are stupid, many vets try to deceive people.
I also went to a vet for hip and elbow xrays once, this vet took about 10 xrays of her hips all were shocking (this vet also told me that she was dysplastic and proceeded to speak to me about the surgery she required) but I sent 2 that I thought were better than the rest ,
2 weeks later they were returned to me by the radiologist who does our evaluations with a letter telling me me that if he had read them then the score would be too high and she would fail.
His advice was to go to another (better vet) which I did and her result gave her a result of 2/5 hips and her A stamp.
My advice to you would be to ask at your local dog group for a recommended vet and then go and have a chat to them prior to booking for an xray
ANY VET THAT HAS TO TAKE THAT MANY XRAYS IS HOPELESS DO NOT GO BACK TO HIM.
My current vet never needs to take more than 1 xray and always get it right the first time (sedation, hip & elbows ) we are in and out in 30 - 45 minutes I travel 2 hours each way but it is certainly worth the trip.
Good Luck

Thanks dogshmoe9
I heart some story like yours ( after first x ray owners were told their dog has an dysplasia, when owners repeat the X ray hips looked much better and they pass the score under 18), that s why I put my dog s x-ray on the forum to see what more experience people than I say about this.
