Any input, arguments, or problems? I've been learning the whole subject of linebreeding...and I have been looking at another pup to breed her with that is totally unrelated, but is a champion bloodline DDR pup.

The mere fact that he is intensifying the breeding with a father/daughter breeding, is just that, intensifying certain qualities that he sees in hutch that he is trying to keep. However, with this intensification he does so with any other bad qualities.
Duke's point was, I won't be using a PAIR of pack-drive temperaments to breed. So, really he's correct that I'm not improving my chances to retain what I consider the single-most valued characteristic.

Here is another breeding I've compared and am curious about.

No offense, but I don't want to encourage pet breeding.

I,ll let you know how it turns out when I have them on the ground.
The good or bad part will depend on personnel preference and opinion.
Out of interest in this line breeding example where there are 14 dogs with several 2-3 and 3-4's, how is it determined which genetics will dominate in the litter when it's tight on several dogs???.

It takes hard work documenting history,s on these dogs looking at , talking to people who had, have or are currently working progeny from these dogs a lot of back ground work knowing the dogs your breeding. As someone said before it,s more then just making lots of names double up on paper.
You have to find lines of common traits that the breeding pairs follow and produce, desirable and not so desirable you can,t fool your self into thinking that only the good traits will come to the for front you have to be prepaired to deal with the results of your breedings.
I guess the best answer I can give you is know as much about the history and workabality of the lines you are breeding and a wee bit of luck doesnt hurt at all.
