Thanks you for posting the rules above. But since I do SchH and not IPO/DVG are the rules the same as you listed above. I would think they pretty much are.So from what you are saying if the dog I used as an example in the first video would have received the full points(if he had not skipped blinds 4 and5) even though he peeked into blind 2. I really like that dog. He is a powerful dog and very intense. I would like to see better obedience though.... but that is not what the thread was about.

Its ok...even though a couple people went a little off topic. It was fine, I actually find it interesting. There are alot of training methods. Each trainer has a different method... I seem to train somewhat the same way you do. It also seems we like the same type(Czech) of dogs.

I totally disagree with a few of you ..... my dog only knows when no one is in blind #5 that the man must be in #6 and that is a question in my dogs mind because I will begin to run the blinds again by reversing the procedure like the way they did it in the old DDR trials .............. so in essence only the dog knows the man is in #6 if you train that way "all" the time .................  my blind #6 in reality is always blinds 1-5 in training .......and this teaches the dog to also look especially when the wind is not blowing across the field in his favor..................... This is all great. Unfortunately the problem really starts after the dog becomes trial wise. They know the difference between training and trial day. They know that trial day helper is always in blind 6. Now it becomes a matter of the handler/dog relationship. Do you have enough control/training on the dog to insure that he will obey you even though it isn't the fastest way to get what he wants?
