My dog's pedigree: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/555146.html
You assume I'm new to the site because you don't recognize the name. Which is fair. I took almost a year break from the dog world entirely, to include a leave of absence from my club, and recently returned after having changed my legal name, and accordingly, my screen name on this site.
I never stated that it *wasn't* also a no-win situation for Shelley. The post in question was related specifically to the question of whether Gabi is dead, and aimed at providing an alternative possibility to the dog being dead, therefore Shelley's end of the deal didn't factor into the post.
I would think the fact that I went so far as to state that it was highly likely Molly failed to disclose the entire truth of the dog's history to the person she rehomed her with would make it rather clear I'm not siding with Molly. Further, I think introducing the possibility that it may very well be Molly's fault that she ended up in my hypothetical no-win situation would make it clear, if the first did not.
Clearly, its a no-win situation for the dog, who has been shuffled between at LEAST two handlers, and potentially more if the dog isn't still in Molly's possession.

As far as the dog food jab goes... I'm not running around criticizing people for what they feed. Feed whatever you wish, its your dog. I'm not going to cry animal abuse because someone feeds their dog a food I wouldn't feed mine.
Answering someone's question about a specific food, when they've SPECIFICALLY solicited such advice, is a far cry from passing judgement on someone who has chosen to feed a food I dislike.

I'm not sure how much time and energy you generally expend looking up a phone number and making a call, but as a rule its probably about as strenuous as posting repeatedly on a dog forum. And given that Shelley clearly has internet access, she needn't even pay for long distance- she can use VOIP. I see nothing unreasonable about giving a person searching for their dog friendly advice as to a way to go about it.
Unless of course this isn't about finding Gabi at all.

Personally, I'm in Gabi's corner."
Same here. She's a beautiful dog that deserves a good, loving home for the rest of her life.

Well Bazza, I will continue to bring this "dispute" to the GSD side of the board because
1. That is where is belongs - this is not an all breed mess. Unfortunately it's our own homegrown GSD and now USCA mess.
2. For the BREED's sake and for Gabi a resolution needs to be found and if that means putting pressure on Molly where she is most comfortable then so be it. If that means trying to get some GSD people up off their arses to help find a resolution - then so be it.
Yes, I too despair what the International world thinks of us.
I'm just not willing to say oh well and go blythly along my way.
I started this thread asking the parties to step up to the plate and be responsible and asking for constructive ideas for ending this. That's still the aim of this thread - please respect it.
