The best thing that can come out of this thread is that
ALL SECRETARIES OF CLUBS RECEIVING A COMMUNICATION FROM THE KC REGARDING THEM COMING IN TO HEEL ABOUT THE CC`s FOR 2012 MUST PASS IT ON TO THE GSDP WITH THE THOUGHTS OF THEIR MEMBERS.
As others rightly say - the KC then can see that we are united, and they will continue to work with a group that are at the moment proving difficult for them as the group are acting professionally and responsibly, and the KC dont know which way to go on that score.

If the Clubs reply independently it will leave the KC with the opportunity to sieve through the responses and deal only with anything favourable to them. The KC must be denied that opportunity.
Please support the GSDP for the future of the breed. We are the guardians and not the Kennel Club.

I fully agree with the GSD Breed Clubs only responding through the GSDP, however this must be an AGREED POLICY. Agreed through the GSD Breed Council.
I would suggest arrangements are made urgently to formally agree this policy, as soon as possible.
Jeevs: Thank you for confirming your very limited knowledge and experience. I trust you understand Judging under FCI rules is indeed very limited experience and knowledge of the GSD International Organisations Constitutions,Rules, Regulations, and any flexibility therein.

I have sat and read these posts with an ever sinking heart, when is it going to dawn on people that the KC are playing us like a fiddle? prevarication, lethargy and sheer arrogance on our part has left them in a situation of strength, a similie being rather like a Chess Grand master playing a school boy, the boy might be thinking three moves ahead, but the master is thinking ten, safe in the knowledge that it wont even get that far, because the school boy has no real game plan, and has to change tack every time the master moves, and eventually becomes so frustrated, he knocks over his King.
Mo is right, we need to move quickly, but what then? who is going to lead us to next phase? at the risk of repeating myself, if we had a thousand people showing ( i wish!!! ) we would still be in the minority as far as KC registrations are concerned, and the KC know that, so.............. it's an easy , simple, straight forward question, do we go? or do we stay? in my own case the answer is easy, probably made simpler because i only breed every couple of years, so the KC need me less than i need them, so i personally can live with the split, my loft contains several box's of trophy's accumulated over the years, i remember the good days when showing was a pleasure by simply looking at my three females who represent Twenty five years of my own Bitch line, the same emotions might not be felt by others, again i cant legistlate for that. What i am trying to say, is that for anyone who wants to show, there is only the KC route , CCs ,RCCs JWs Crufts etc. chasing up and down the country showing under Judges who's opinions you have no respect for, but knowing you might get a CC because the entry is crap, or we can try to embrace what a few people on this board are advocating, do our own thing which will encompass the whole sphere of our Breeds versatility, not just taking our dogs to a show simply to perform like automatons, but give them the life that Stephanitz envisaged for them. Once again my friends the decision is yours.
Regards.

Right on the button; what you advocate is the only wothwhile game left in town. I think most with experience and the good of the breed at heart know this. It is simply a question of whether there is the will, courage and leadership out there to act.
