I didnt realise that Carol was a BAGSD member. The silence from the EC makes me feel qujite sick.
I am going to write to BAGSD EC this evening, and I am going to ask that they step in ON BEHALF OF THEIR MEMBER AND HER HIGHLY QUALIFIED DOG and challenge the Kennel Club. I hope everyone on this board that reads this also asks this of them. I will also want to know at the AGM why they havent if they dont, and a little weak letter wafflikng like the Queen of Waffle will not suffice.
My letter - this will be sent this evening.

I am quite sure, like the rest of the world that you have all heard the furore regarding the above very correct, and highly qualified dog, both in health issues and character. I shall expect, without delay, that as Mrs Kean is a BAGSD member and a very upstanding highly thought of lady in our breed, you will all be joining together to make it known very loudly to the Kennel Club that you do not agree in any way with their actions, if you have not done so already.
I feel very strongly about this and I am not alone in any way. BAGSD have a duty to their members in more ways than taking membership fees, and now is the time for you all to allow the public, your members and the Kennel club to know what you really believe is right. Please allow the public, worldwide to see if BAGSD is a club with morals, and backbone, it is a vital issue, and will not go away by silence and apathy.
I hope by now, you will have written to Carol and given your feelings on the matter. If there was any doubt, in anyones mind that this dog was not a superior specimen with documentation to show that fact, then we would all be in a different position, but this dogs career has been marred in the eye of the public and Carols morale has hit a very low note. I am very dissappointed that I have had to hear that Carol is a BAGSD member via the internet, as I would have thought that it was worth the full home page of BAGSD website, denigrating the way in which Caroline Kisko and her lady friend behaved on television.. but I also note the absence of any congratulatory note on the website either. I sincerely hope that BAGSD are not taking the silence stand on this so as not to seem to be involved.... Carol Kean should be receiving the necessary proteciton from BAGSD with a request to Caroline Kisko that she make a full and public written apology to Carol for such nonsense.

By her actions Caroline Kisko isnt the sort of person that should be taking public interviews. She puts the telephone down on Carol Kean, and bounced out of the Radio WM programme slamming the door after her with our interview too. Prozac do you think? Certainly not the KC spokesmans job - or then again, perhaps she`s the best there is.
On another note. John, I applaud you, and your principles. I shall look forward to hopefully seeing you at the week-end, and having a long chat. You will be so much more at home with progressive folk enjoying their breed and caring about the issues that are important to us. Mo

. COME AND JOIN BAGSD's VTD BRANCH, QUALIFY YOUR DOG IN BH, SCH and providing it has the necessary good hips & elbows, get it through its Korung as a Fit for breeding.
THEN ENTER IT AT THE TYPE OF SHOWS WE RECOMMEND, THOSE RUN BY OUR GOVERNING BODY, ESPECIALLY THE ONE OUR EC MEMBERS ARE MEMBERS OF, THE KENNEL CLUBS OWN ANNUAL CC SHOW - CRUFTS and experience the embarrassment and humiliation, hurt and upset of HAVING IT DESPARARED AND CRITICISED ON NATIONAL TV BY CRETINS SUCH AS THE KC's own Executive Officer Caroline Kisko and her Horsey presenter friend whose knowledge of dogs (from her own mouth) is zilch!!
Yes Folks, pay your Membership Money into BAGSD's and help pay for the KC members within the BAGSD EC to get lots of free holidays to Germany, while in waiting for their much prayed for KC GC Membership.
I am pleased to read that John Ward has walked away from the EC but I hope that isnt all for as long as he and his comrads at the Cornwall Branch keep paying their BAGSD's membership they are still villifying the BAGSD's decision to Vote Yes.

Below copy of the complaint I submitted today to Ofcom.
On the program DFS Crufts broadcast on Friday 12th March 2010, More4 presenter Claire Balding made an unfair, deflamatory reference to the movement of the Best of Breed German Shepherd Dog which Kennel Club official Ms Caroline Kisko was quick to relate to a Health Issue. This dog , unlike many at Crufts, has undergone a strict regime of Health, Fitness, Stamina and Character Tests which he successfully passed, with exemplary results on all counts. As a GSD judge and owner who promotes this type of Health regime and has long campaigned to the KC to adopt these tests as Mandatory before allowing dogs to be bred from and registered, I am both insulted and dismayed that such biased, unfair and inaccurate reporting, obviously staged in an attempt to make the KC look good on Health issues, whilst all they really achieved was to grossly mislead the General Public.
I do hope Offcom will do something positive to address this issue, this time. The owner of this dog paid out a lot of money to put her dog through all these vigorous Health and Character testing schemes and then paid her entrant money to Crufts to be judged by a Breed Specialist , not a TV Presenter and the KC;s own Spin Guru. Not only was this an insult to this Breeder/owner but to the judge who awarded him BOB, to all the other specialist judges who had promoted this dog at previous shows in order for him to qualify for Crufts in the first place and to all the reputable , caring breeders who do all the necessary, stringent tests to ensure they only breed from successfully Health Tested stock.
Will be obliged for a response to this complaint at some time and hope for some sort of Breed renumeration from the KC and More4 for this onslaught on our breeds finest.
