Hi Tony,

Can I just help in some way to allow you to understand our fears regarding VPG and the fact that if BAGSD vote goes to sign ..........how unsafe we will be.

I was told, by Andrew Winfrow, back in early January, that I should telephone the KC to inform them for the Koerung event that we are putting on Derbyshire VPG - his clear message to me, verbally, was" tell the KC you Are Running a Trials"  -  "dont mention Koerung and dont mention VPG."

Now, to me, that speaks volumes if a  KC member, with as much knowledge that Andrew appears to have regarding the workings of the KC - that he warned me, on behalf even of BAGSD that I should simply say Trials.   I did mention this at the Breed Council meeting clearly

The KC have never acknowledged any form of protection work, and we can give it as many fresh names as we wish, but it will go - give them a little time to find the numpty clubs that sign, and the other rules will come spewing forth.  Lets face it, people spend thousands sending their show dogs to Germany to get them qualified and its beyond the service of the KC to allow the Sch.h. qualifications on KC pedigrees or registration

Care to Answer that Andrew?       MO..

GSD League is, as far as I am aware, adopting a very robust stance on this issue; I therefore have no specific worries re the future of SCH/VPG under their banner as, despite the history of conflict in the UK, I believe the organization will accommodate anyone wanting to participate in the sport at it's events, in the event of BAGSD/VPG falling foul of any KC action or directive. (which, for the sake of the vast majority of BAGSD/VPG members,  I genuinely hope is not the case).

At the Breed Council Meeting AW informed the meeting the BAGSD had contacted the KC and their events have been approved by the KC!!!!

I rest my case

I wonder what the entries for their "events" will be like.

Bitburger.

Andrew stood up at the Breed Council and said that,  you are right - and when challenged from the floor by me to the effect that I was the one asking the KC at his request, and the way in which he said I  MUST word it, (as above) it was not given time for an answser.

Missbeeb, if BAGSD do sign up, I dont think their entries for shows will alter much if they are allowed to have the correct type of judge.   I dont think that is in danger this year, but apparently its a yearly sign up - so the rules must be going to be added yearly for that to be so.

It's a pity, but you're probably right, Mo.  Ideally, their shows should be ignored imo.

What this whole sorry story actually tells us is that, there are those who have the interests of our breed at heart and those who only have self promotion at heart.  It's always a similar type that yearns to be a KC member... the breed takes a back seat... way back!

Be sure, your sins will find you out!

The objective of the person in question is not KC membership, he already has that, it is KC General Committee membership that is his current objective, by any means necessary. Unfortunately far too many GSD folk unwittingly assist him. When this is reversed, which hopefully has now commenced, his selfish ambitions will be brought to a halt and maybe disintegrate. BAGSD Executive and the GSD Breed Council hold particular responsibility, as do many individuals who enjoy false compliments from singularly ambitious individuals. His skin has been shed, fully recognise him for what he is, surely that is not too difficult! For the sake of our breeds future.

Personally in my opinion there are to many people who no longer breed show work (promote the wrong type) or do not have a GSD that have a great influence on our breed these are the people who cannot see what the benefits to our breed can be, they are all stuck in the dark ages holding on to what power the have, IMO your time is coming it is time to go look after your garden or put new wheels on your zimmer this breed will go from strength to strength in spite of you, and to all those who only want to further them selfs shame on you, our breed it is not here for your climb up the KC ladder or any other ladder it is up to every one of us to make sure that our breed advances where it is normal for all our dogs to be health tested not just a few. To all the people who can see the benefit of saying no to the KC undertaking i say a big thankyou change is coming and our breed will be all the better for it.

... bet he's sorry he started this thread.

I know he's a KC member, David, it was just an analogy.  He seems the right type to be on the General Committee of the KC, I didn't know his aspirations had sunk to such depths though.

Jeevs, the official kc arselicker, time to crawl back under the rock you crawled out from.
Your little empire is crumbling from underneath you,not long now until you and your ilk are but a distant, bad memory.
