Don Corleone

Jeff, so all forms of tracking are useless, since it isn't in there? All those FR people don't do it because they don't have to. You play by the rules of your sport. Why have them bark at all? Steve, I had a Tom grandaughter that was really nice.

Jeff, Idon´t think serious breeders are judging a dog only on his bark and hold, of course they look at the whole performance, so I don´t see ring is different here. As you said in mondio/frenchring people may not care what´s going on in the dogs mind as long as it does the work, if the dog is viewing the decoy as a playingpartner doesn´t matter which also showed in the eskos grandfather you posted, quite a difference in the dogs attitude compared to the better SCH-dogs, or in other sports too. I understand it´s irrelevant in the sport but for breeding we want dogs that have all parts, don´t we? The better dogs have a bit more in their mind than playing a routine I think, and some SCH-dogs are way more impressive than many ringdogs, even if many dogs from french ring as an example is very fast and flashy to look at, but that´s not all in a dog I suppose.

Duke
again i disagree with you, So what you are saying is this, I give Izzy Bitch to Ronny and he will take her to the WUSV
and Duke
Ronny does not train 7 days a week he has a regular Job to go to, the training at the Club is 3 to 4 times a week, of course training plays a huge part and it would also be true that if Ronny had Izzy he would do better than i with her, But first you have to have the Genetic make in a Dog before you can get the true rewards, otherwise why do you Guys and myself go for certain bloodlines of  Dogs in preference to others if none of that counted only the training,  for there are not so many great Dog trainers out there in any part of the world in Ronny's Class
As for Pigeon breeding it is far more complicated than Dog or Horse Breeding that i guarantee and Blood tells no matter what the domesticated species is  Two pigeons recently sold for 380.000 Euros what would that be in USA over 500.000 dollars a man could live okay on that amount and remember a pigeon weighs but 1 lb in weight, The Breeding and performance rolled into one made that money

Damn! Those must be some tasty birds!

Duke:

The dog and training and genetics balance each other out. It,s the combined efforts of both Handler and Dog that makes it thats why they call it a team. If the training isn,t there the best bred dog in the world can,t shine as if the gentics aren,t there all the training in the world won,t cover it either.

Bob
My thoughts excatly

Don
If you did eat one of those Pigeons and just as you were taking the first mouthful and it maybe a little stringy as those Pigeons have raced some 20.000 miles between them possibly more.
anyway just as you were biting on the first piece i tell you that you are eating a pigeon that cost 250.000 Dollars i think you would spit it out or choke on it
