Other wise your not getting exactly the same coat because his mother's genes are 50% of his genetics and is grandparents and great grandparents also affect his genetics. Not just his father.
Just be happy that your pup is healthy and normal and go from there. Hair should be the least of your concerns with owning a shepherd.

Now, I know you a very young and I half worry the breeder took you for a ride with this puppy, but from all I've seen he is a very good dog, and you should be happy with him. But please give up the fight about him being or not being a coated dog. If in the future you want a coated dog, you know how to find me and I will get you in touch with my mentor as she can easily sell you one.

You think this puppy is a short stock coat?

by Chasepuppy on 13 May 2016 - 01:05
Chase is a year old now everyone. He is definitely a short coat. Here is a video of him in my backyard. His coat is kinda like Furbo's. Chase is still growing and filling out.
