I am kind of glad that I did not know any better during Rose's whelping.  She took 18 hours for litter of nine.  I just watched for any signs of distress and made sure the puppies nursed.  I was too nieve to think about it taking too long.   Rose did frustrate me a couple of times by having 2 of the puppies outside while she was going to the restroom.

Let us know how things are going.

She's probably sleeping herself;  such a long stressful experience and lack of sleep does not help and your brain feels completely saturated.  Would love to see pic's of the little tikes;  thanks in advance.  Nan

I bought a cheap baby monitor at a Thrift Store.     It quit 3 days after the pups were born.   She is probably sleeping.

Sorry for not getting right back everyone!  Took about another 2 hours and last (8th) puppy was finally born.  Thought I would share some photos.... this is the first time with this pairing that we only got ONE Sable?  The rest are black & tan.... Last litter of 7 was majority sable, 3 B&T.  Both parents are sable (in my Avatar).

Congratulations on the births !  Adorable (as puppies always are).
Seriously, glad it all came good after the stress of that long wait
in the middle.
As to the colours, that's just good  ol' Mother Nature playing
