Here is where it gets even better= my two intact males- 2 and 3 years old- sleep together in the same room at night- one in his bed and the other in a crate with no door. Also I can put a food bowl down and all three will eat from it with no aggression towards each other- I am very lucky as I have said earlier but then again my dogs know very well who the ALPHA PACK leader is.
There are no other leaders or order.

I never run two dogs together unsupervised, it is not worth the damage or loss of them.

@ Paul...Short and to the point. That's all that needs to be said.

as I said earlier this togetherness has existed with the three of them since my wl boy has been a pup- for 18 months- I guess I am lucky- the breeder trainer of my new female that is coming agrees with me- if the dogs have been raised together.

I have females in my house that get along together. However, they are NEVER left alone together. As Paul said, not worth the risk. I do not care how long two dogs of the same sex have gotten along together, that can change in an instant!
It just takes one time and everything changes. I would never want to come home to two dogs of the same sex that were together and got into it.
For me, it is just as easy to just separate when we leave the house. Simple, easy, safe. I also think that by not allowing them unsupervised together, I am more likely to keep them getting along, as I am always there to see any signs of problems or intervene if necessary.
