Siantha, I respect your opinion. Police and LE do damage control, that's what they do. Someone is on staff to speak to the media, you don't see the officers involved doing camera media interviews. There are attorneys and unions to protect officers when a situation goes bad. You don't expect them to come and say we messed up. The voice of the people is strong down there as they interrupted a news conference the next day with a protest. Not a good time to go to disneyland right now. But it was an impressive gsd

Would really like to hear Jim's opinion on "unleashing" a dog in a riot.

If you are referring to me, I am not offering my views on this subject.  I am also not getting involved in the training threads where misinformation or poor advice is given by newbies, novices or people who have bred one litter and now are trainers offering ridiculous and potentially dangerous discourses.  Look at the Prince thread for examples of this as well as this thread.

I am here for the pure entertainment value that the PDB offers.  I do check my PM's and if you have a serious dog related, training or Police K-9 question you are welcome to PM me or email me.  For pedigree research I use this site on occasion now but more importantly and effectively I use the workingdogs-eu site.  That is a site where serious dog people go for accurate pedigree and research information go.

If you would like me to respond please PM me, I am currently not going to respond publicly on any thread on this forum, especially this one.  I will not answer any posts on this thread or any other for the time being.   I am always willing to help those in need of any advice I can offer in regardings to training or working dogs, feel free to PM me or email me.

Deacon,
Stay safe!  Unfortunately, it isn't worth the aggrevation to respond to these threads at least IMHO.

Keyboard commandos stand up!!!!!!!! This is the most sensitive forum I have ever witnessed. I thought youth sports forums were bad. I'm just gonna go play fetch from now on. Peace

I had high hopes there for a second, when I saw Jim's name!

I'll see what I can do for you about the quality of entertainment around here.

STAY SAFE, you and Boomer.

Demi 171
no, Police would not pull that stuff in Beverly Hills or in small town in midAmerica. When did you see riots in Beverly Hills?   On top of it you can not or should not form your opinion based on what you see on TV. Especially news presented itself in this  inflammatory way . The video is clearly edited in order to inflame. To take news like this  seriously is beyond silly. This "let's blame cops they are all bad"  thread is silly.  Yes only time will tell, as Demo171 also ( in contediction to himslef ) says.

Let's be clear that folks in Beverly Hills probably would not riot like the video here (http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2012/07/25/anaheim-protests-turn-violent-family-victim-sues/ ) shows.  The deceased was a known gang-member and rioting never solved anything.
