Destiny4u- the frog appeared in the pool last(?) summer one morning when we let the water sit in the pool overnight, usually we dump it out & let the pool air out over night, but I was tired or Carl forgot or something, & he was floating around in there in the morning! The dogs tried to sniff him, but they didn't chase him or bother him too much, they mostly acted like he belonged there. He stayed 3 or 4 days & then was gone, just as suddenly as he appeared....never did figure out how he got in, but I set a couple old bricks in the water next to the side of the pool so he would have a way to get out if he needed to. Haven't seen any since he was here, must be a 0ne-frog-town! laugh jackie harris

Yep, those pools are priceless! I had bought the pools at Petsmart. First one I said I'll be nice and put it in Ana's kennel. She destroyed it! Second one. keeps seperating at the seams. So, in a couple of days it's off to Walmart or KMart; for $15.00 Do any of your dogs act like they're either swimming or trying to "paddle" all the water out?

Funny, all the dogs LOVE water but the two girls....... Ana and Bella will just absolutely go crazy over it. In the pool, with the hose, sprinkler etc.

alboe,

I actually got the pool because my bitch loves to go 'swimming' in the water bowl and I was hoping to redirect her to the pool!  The male took one look at the situation and just flopped like a lead brick on his side, just as he does in his crate.  No digging, just getting as soaking wet as possible and when he did that the bitch figured this was a good idea and she splashed down in the water with him.  They hung out together for about twenty minutes before asking me to throw the ball some more.

Brittany,

Thank you so much!  Erik is half West German and Half Czech, here is his pedigree if you'd like to see it.

The picture in his pedigree is from last year when he was about 11 months old, he's filled out since then and of course, like any proud Momma I have headshots! :D

Playing in the snow

And this is one of my favorites, the blue jacket is my 6 year old, who was tossing snow balls for the dogs, hence Erik's eager look as he's circling around him!

Yeah, the girls are funny. The male loves water but never has gone in the pools. The girls will race to get there first and keep the other out. (small pool) and then when the others come close start kicking water on them. They (girls) also played in their water bowls, fascination with water, so now the water dish goes inside a little sink tub for dishes. Or the faucet in the tub when needed.
