Doesn`t he have a chip maybe? If he is from germany he should have a tatoo in his ear, but maybe he is from holland then he will have a chip and no tatoo. And wow he is a beauty!

Thank you everyone for all of your help! 

I have a written to Lesley Scholl at his new home in a federal facility in Texas.  I'll report back here if he responds.

I will try the light behind the ear trick to look for a tattoo.  I have looked, and have had the vet help me look, but I will look again. 

I really like the personality of this dog.  He's very, very self-confident.  Unfortunately, I believe his hips are not good.  He doesn't even run normally, so I am not sure how long he will be with us.  

I will be interested in a pup just like him within the next year.  If anyone is breeding dogs like this in Michigan, or anywhere within a day's drive of Michigan, please let me know.

another breeder in that area with a dog who looked a lot like that (big head, DDR lines) was Chip Weiss - his dog "Wolf" was used quite a bit for his program and others - he could have been the breeder of this dog and ???? if he tattooed his puppies or not.  Chip is no longer in that area.

So, Lesley Scholl wrote me back... Dom really was Dr. Scholl's dog.  The dog was not imported from Germany, he came from a breeder on the north side of Fort Wayne, Indiana.   He did not tell me the year of the dog's birth, but the dog would have been born about 7-8 years ago.  He says both of Dom's parents were schutzhund titled.  Any ideas of breeders on the north side of Indiana that might have bred this dog?

vom enckhausen was in that general area
maybe 30 niles south of fort wayne
but good luck fiinding anything from her
she can be tough to find
maybe big bob knows somebody a little closer

what a dog .what a handsome fella i remember nonacona had a nice boy named demon and he looked like your boy like i said tho what a dog :)
