Knock it off, steve.  Squealing?  Me?  Hardly.  I'd run you off the field in 2 seconds flat, no doubt about it, because you're the one who freaks out if anyone points out your errors. Yogi simply pointed out that he must abide by the rules of his organization and you immediately get rude.  You were WRONG about the rules that it doesn't matter about the left or right side.  The rules for you aren't the same for Yogi, so why not simply say, oh, I didn't realize that?  I'm sure judges can be lenient about sides of the bike, but Yogi is trying to train to the rules, as he should be.  Yet you immediately start squealing: <<Clearly the V.V.D.H and the SV are wrong according to Yogibear.>>  Yogi NEVER said that.  Yogi is CORRECT in what his rules are, and you are not.  Did it never occur to you that WDA and USA rules might be different than what you show under?  Why can't you act like a decent human being and say, oh, ok, I didn't know that, instead of getting all sarcastic?

If they are prone to bite it, it's hard to keep them off the front wheel with the leash in the right hand though.   Can you teach him to walk first then, with you between him and the bike to get him to leave that wheel alone before you actually start biking?   Almost like teaching another heel position with wheel as a distraction.

We have been walking along side the bike and he falls into a heel at the right side of the bike just like he is heeling with me at the left.  He isn't biteing at the wheel - it would be a very nice heeling position if the bike wasn't involved and he was on the left....

Once he has been going about 50 yards and we speed up to a steady pace - he does stop focusing on it so much - but he is still very close to the bike. I figure the more we do this - the more experienced he will get and somehow get it thru his thick skull that I am not requiring him to Heel....that is what it looks like in one way - the other way -just obsessed with the wheel going round and round.....

Funny though - the dogs in steve1's picture - look very bored and lazy-my boy doesn't look board nor lazy while doing this.... they looked as if the were taking a lazy stroll down the road...Not saying that to offend steve1 just my observation.....

Yes, you could run me off the field in two seconds flat, and  because you are a Girl i would allow you too, However for saying that  if you were a Guy you would be carried off the field no mistake, No matter how old i am i still am no fool, I know things that you probably do not, like you have about 136 bones in the body and which ones you could break with just two fingers as such, how many nerves make up the body and which ones disable certain parts of the system also how to break ones neck in 3 seconds flat all learned the hard way and all carried out and right or wrong put into practise in real life so never say things to anyone unless you can carry them out yourself and i certainly can even now
However  to get back to the point, I did not know where Yogi bear lives or which rules he abides too i have no idea what abbreviations you use for your format over in the USA, Why would i know, For all i knew he may have lived in Europe so What say you on that
Now my post to you was done in British humour and i knew which way you would take it, WRONGLY,  so that also applies to your humour from the USA i do not recognize it no more than you so ours
For instance your Comedians in the USA never make me laugh i do not find them funny at all. and the same goes for most of ours The People from the USA do not find most of ours funny it is a difference
Note i had a Smiley on the post i sent you but you in your temper and haste to get back at me you did not see the meaning of it
Yogi Bear
Your post above shows how inexperinced you are, Those Dogs were coming in from the final lap of the AD test, having finished it how would you be yourself jumping up and down i guess with energy to spare, I think not note i said they covered the course average speed of 12.5 miles an hour they would look a little flat, just as you and i would

Look Steve - you have already insulted me as I have insulted you - and you keep insulting me and my experience-no reason to try to prove you have bigger balls than me -  you post a picture - call it humor - but it has already been stated by Tess that it was a insult - so  when I make a assumption about your post that is "in good humor" you insult me again...  Did you give insite to this "humorous picture that it was at the end of the AD"? no you use it to show what side of the bike the dog is on...it wasn't for an aid or to help a fellow handler that had ask another question at the time - you were trying to bite YogieBear in the butt with your bad GSD attitude - as you stated to Tess.. You compare yourself to a GSD?..You don't handle prongs very well...  in your words...so why shouldn't I look at it and get what I get out of it.   Your dog " did" run the AD with no training  - did all the dogs do this and that is why they looked this way>  I dunno... how would  I know you used it for another point - it wasn't educational at all...

You obviously have a bee up your pants  or you wouldn't be fighting about every post that has been made.  You have told me you have more experience than me  = probably so - don't know on that - but to be so arogant and shallow minded to tell me that....ok -o dont know me - so dont know the experience -     I just wanted to know info on getting my dog in shape and you turned this into a pissing match - not so much with me but Tess - and thank you Tess for coming to this "girl's" rescue...

I can't resist on this......
_____________________________________________________
A BIT OF AMERICAN HUMOR       So, what do you do with  this  GSD name Steve1 that is handler hard at your club?  What do you do as well with this GSD that is agressive toward all the GSD at the club that might bite the other GSD? - he doesn'ty handle correction very well either....seems this boy is aggressive toward the female GSD too - he wants to pee on all the poles around to show he is "the Alpha leader"  tell us how many bones are in the body and what he can do to Tess if she was a "boy dog".....I am sure he struts around as well to show he is "Alpha"...Come on Steve - seens plenty of people in schutzhund that does that - in the South - SouthUSA that is - the call it a "Red Neck" man.  Schutzhund has got plenty of dogs that think they are Alpha but all I ask was a simple questions.....proof is in the pudding "so to speak in american humor" you don't have to tell us how great you are.........................................add something "in a respectful way" and stop trying to pee on everything.........
that is the  way it seems
HOW DO I GET MY DOG IN SHAPE FOR THE AD......... Appreciate the coment - but you didn't do anything to get your dog into shape  -you didnt train before the AD...your dog was in shape - I appreciate that = but that isn't what I asked....  why would I run a marathon and not prepare my athelete?  '
Doesnt seem responsible.....
So please with all do respect - Steve 1 - stop trying to establish your domance over it -I simply ask how to  get my dog into shape and you have turned it to something else,.,

Yogi bear
Act like a bloody man if you are of that sex and stop this insulting rubbish or what you say i am doing to you, Grow up
The Photo was put there to simply illustrate that Dogs can be handled both ways on the AD at least  where i live, Nothing insulting in posting a Pic and it never entered my head that it was going to do so, But i apologize for nothing, Then you come up with the Quip the Dogs in the Photo look Flat and not interested as such
That  my friend is an Insult to all competing in that AD and there Dogs, So how am i insulting you when i say you lack experience in not even realizing they may have already travelled a lot of the distance,
As it was they were coming in to the finish of the AD so were entitled to be a little hot and flat as you put it a good pace was set although i do not know why the leader went off so fast, it was not a race as such anyway the one who set the pace dropped back on the last circuit he finished okay but slowed because his dog was already slowing down
However I originally did not know where you came from, so i would not know your rules were different, but as far as i was concerned you may have been living in Europe or even over in this part of the world
Nothing i have said here is insulting, at least no more than i think you have been The language is the same, the Phases and meanings are totally different,
You can be sure of one thing Yogi Bear if i ever intend to insult anyone on this board in the future this problem will not arise again for if i think they come from your country then i will verbally in the future tell them what i say is meant as an insult That way there can be no mis understandings with Phases and words whoever it is will get it straight out
I have had enough of this childish talk about insulting people and how it hurts there feelings from now on they will be told that what i say is meant as an insult, then, they or you can then do what you think best about it i have no worry about any of it
Cry babies i cannot put up with at all, If you do not like my posts then Press the Bloody Red Button its been  done often enough of late
As for Goran Yes, he was a fit Dog that has always been taken care off for he is always fit as is Izzy thats a part of them living and there well being nothing special in that, as for riding the Bike after one short try, He went okay there was no need to train him on the Bike other than do the test and that is the way it was said nothing big headed meant by It just facts
I really think some people worry too much when taking these tests it is the handler which is bothered not the dog If you have been training him and no accidents have occurred whist doing it why bother then what the dog is doing So long as you can control the Bike okay with the dog as he is then just go and enjoy it
Most of these problems is Handler related, i know it for this last Sunday a big sectional trial for the WUSV, A dog made a mistake and the handler visually deflated, The Dog picked up on it and made more mistakes and the more it made so the handler became a bit more down The Stakes were high it was an important event, So just relax and push on with it

Steve1,  Which part of this do you not understand.  thank you Tess for coming to this "girl's" rescue...

YogieBear, Don't pay any attention to him, he's never wrong, because he's not man enough to admit when he is.
He thinks he's a bad boy and that he can impress or intimidate people with his description of himself, he obviously hasn't  come across the right person or his attitude would be different when talking to people he doesn't know anything about, or perhaps he has and thats the reason he does it from a keyboard instead of real life, at any rate it's easy to see Steve1 is a legend in his own mind.

Steve1  Your replies to these two ladies show everyone that reads them what a real man you are.

by TessJ10 on 27 April 2010 - 13:04

"Those Dogs were coming in from the final lap of the AD test, having finished it how would you be yourself jumping up and down i guess with energy to spare, I think not note i said they covered the course average speed of 12.5 miles an hour they would look a little flat"

12.5mph?  That's way too fast.  12km per hour would be right, but mph?  No way, steve.

And actually, my dog, who was very fit and trained to the bike and didn't have it sprung on him last minute, finished the AD yes, with energy to spare - out in front of the bike and ready for more.  Because I thoroughly prepared him, for his sake.  No, he wasn't flat and dragging at the end of his AD.  There were dogs who were, but they don't have to be if you prepare properly, as I'm sure Yogi is going to do.

As for the photo, Yogi, as steve says, they're coming in from the AD, not actually doing it - they're all so close together and the dogs aren't trotting.  They're walking.  Sure as heck not doing 20km/hour (which would be 12.5mph).

Thanks, michael49, for the post!

Micheal49
Again you butt in on a thread making it look as if you are a tough guy when i guess and i think you are exact opposite
Talk yes, I have explained fully to Yogi bear why i put that photo on there, How else can i prove that i was not telling lies and i had no idea she was a Lady How the hell am i to know what sex people are,
However I know me and you talk big behind words What you think you know is not really worth knowing except your mouth as we say over here All mouth and trousers, typical of your bully boy tactices behind a computer
I have come to the conclusion that some you Guys over in the USA are scared even of words they hurt your feelings and as you have replied i include you in that bracket,
Thank goodness most of the guys on here are made of tougher stuff, and there are some real tough ladies on this board thank goodness
I must remember to analyze every word i write in the future in  case it offends some of you Guys with a soft vulnerable temperament , I sure would not want you folk with that affliction to curl up over words again on my part and hurt your feelings
Carry on posting micheal49 i know your sort and have met a few like you and dismiss them as absolutely non dis script sort of people without any substance to them
And matey if i had anything to apologize to Yogi Bear for i would do so but tell me where is it i need to for putting a Photo of an AD Trial to contradict what she said,  No chance
And  Yes' I have done it in real life nothing good or big about it, just a job of work and i had no choice like the other lads, if we were to stay alive, just like the Guys are doing it today from the USA and UK what else does anyone do but try and survive, Say to the enemy no i cannot harm you i will take it instead, You must be a real Man to think that way, If you faced it i guess you would have said i give you best, Like hell you would cause you would not be posting now
And Yes, i am proud of what i know in that respect it is half a life times work learning and practicing, And i am never intimidated by anyone in real life, Why should anyone be so
My last on this subject which again is getting out of hand because some take things in the wrong context and no matter what i say some of you will argue the toss so i am on a loser, So now argue among your bloody self's
Steve1
