I am sorry but I know lazy doesn't even belong in the same sentence with the folks at Cherokee Rose Ranch....every animal is clean and every kennel is clean and all are groomed by the owners, and they do know a great deal about animal health including hip problems....know what your talking about people!

You also aren't importing world siegers.  I'm not making any judgements on the females having titles or not, only pointing out that it's disingenuous to hold someone else to a standard that you are unwilling or unable to meet yourself.

Bea, you are breeding untitled females that you sell inexpensively? You say that Bill Fleischerheim's prices are high (over 2K) but he seems to be trying to improve and maintain breed standards. Are you? How do you know? If you have untitled dogs and breed them to more untitled dogs, you are not helping the breed. Most reputable breeders follow the German standards for breeding- titled dogs. The titles are not just bragging rights, they prove the suitability for breeding. Unless you are breeding American German SHepherds, that's a whole other topic. If you seriously want to have a breeding program (not a breeding for profit) getting the dogs titled is important. Backyard breeding is what gives all Shepherds a bad rap. Breeding dogs with no temperment tests to evaluate the dog's nerves is not a great idea. You may have the best dogs in the world or the worst. Having purchased many show line German dogs I would never breed an unproven dog.

i know what you are saying and i have been doing the right thing as my male will be  tittled this year, and yes i do plan to do the right thing, and i may even buy a pup from Bill as i  have been looking , i am not saying anything bad about him , that i just noticed he has some untittled females, that all.

Bill does seem like a nice guy and i dont have a problem with him.

each breeder has there own way of doing things, there is also no  rules to say you have to SCH tittle your dog.

my dogs have excellent temp, i know this and yes mine can work, so i always tittle them in some area.

they also have very good pedigrees.

i have a female that will be doing herding, not too many can do that any more.

i do think there should be a limited on how many litters you should have a year.

i am not here to start a fight.

Beware of Bill Fleischerheim!

He is a crook I bought a ten week old puppy from a picture he sent on the Internet not telling me it was a long-haired GSD.  After I picked up the puppy at the airport and realized it was a long-coat, I called Bill and he basically said I was out of luck.  He showed me a picture of a 7-month old puppy, I agreed to trade the dogs plus $1,000.  I drove to Dallas which was 2800 miles roundtrip to make the switch.  When I arrived at the facility they tried to sell me a dog that had cow hocks and said it would grow out of it.  I called my vet and he said only a few grow out of it.  I drove back home with the first puppy after seeing the conditions at the kennels and am still waiting for the registered papers $4,000 dollars later.  I do not recommend buying a dog from Bill!!

did you go to Dallas, or Bells, Tx meanone101?  you couldn't tell from a picture your puppy was a longhair?  you can tell from 3 weeks old on. I can vouch for the kennel in Bells Texas, I have been there 3 different times and each time it was super clean, dogs, kennel, everything.  as for the cowhocks,  most showline dogs have cow-hocks to a certain degree.  and if the pup was raised on a concrete or wooden bottom kennel, a little exercise on regular ground would probably have helped the cowhocks.  its generally just caused by weak ligaments, muscles which need exercise.

Bill's co-owners have untitled females,  they are just listed on Bill's website.  Bill has the money to buy a 2x world sieger, he has the money for titled females.
