I know Geoff Barlow is considering getting a little Mini Bus type trip together so friends Carol and Ken and some other interested parties from Bolton GSD Club can all travel together. I am not sure how far he has got in the organising yet but it may be to your advantage if you contact Carol Morrison as she would know if any plans are a reality yet or still just an Idea.
For years I have booked rooms for friends and then they have just made their own flight arrangements. I have booked rooms for Missbeeb and she is making her own flight arrangements. Hubby Jim and myself travel by car as we spend the week prior to the Sieger with German friends.
Once you get your hotel booked and are aware that there are others you know in the Hotel you are staying in, going on your own aint that bad as there are always plenty of Brits around to join for a meal and a drink on an evening. Its not as hard as you think, so go for it Lynne.
All the Best
Sue
PS - Stuart I think anyone who knows anything about people in GSD;s know that you and your Dad Bill had absolutely nothing to do with the failed Sieger Trip, so dont worry your little head about it !!

But, Lynne & others, I always have people from around the world on my tours. Only a small percentage of my tour groups each year is composed of U.S. residents. For example, this year so far, I have one American (plus me), four Taiwanese, five Uruguayans, two or four Indonesians, and two Malaysians!
So, I really don't think that your being from the UK makes any difference. I will meet my group at the FRA airport on 1 Sept., and we will be back there for return flights on the 9th Sept. (Some have decided to stay a few days longer). PLEASE tell those forum members that this is (always has been, for the 20 years I've been leading these tours) an international fun-loving group of GSD lovers. search the web for my tour info or write Mr.GSD@Juno.com

I can highly recommend Fred Lanting's sieger show tour, which I've been on twice. He meets you at the airport and takes care of everything - transportation to and from show, place to stay, dinners out, etc. But the most compelling reason to join his tour is that he is a wealth of information about the dogs you will see. And you'll meet other gsd lovers, often from several other countries, who are part of his tour. His tour also includes sightseeing and trips to famous kennels. It's easy to fly into Germany and be met at the airport.
