Your are absolutley right Mo. Every Breed Club should send it's letter to the GSDP for them to deal with the KC. It will confirm to the KC and everyone else the unity and determination in the breed by the people that care most and are prepared to do most towards the future of the breed.

mo and mackenzie, spot on .i agree that all breed clubs when they receive this particular letter to send it to the partnership and not reply back to the kc.let them sweat.as you know ,i was not in favour of going our own way at first, but now i am if this is how the kc is going to treat us.my animals are getting on now but am thinking of purchasing a puppy when the time is right.i know that 2 of the clubs will reply to the kc(the alsatianist ones)not too sure re the clubs who have wot i term as middle of the road committees.i beg these clubs to send their letters to the partnership also.whilst were on this subject i have today received a judges list for the ch.shows in 2010,all bar 3 have either german /middle of the road/all rounders who promote the correct type.lets give these judges, particulary the crufts judge, large entries this year and show the kc that us germanic exhibitors CAN BE TRUSTED NOT TO DOUBLE HANDLE AT GENERAL CHAMP SHOWS AND THAT WE CAN BE ACCOMODATING,CALM AND COLLECTIVE PEOPLE,WHO CAN ALSO BE COMPLIMENTARY TO THE WINNING ANIMALS AND THEIR OWNERS.THE BALL IS IN OUR COURT AND ITS UP TO US TO SERVE THE WINNING SHOTS.Carole Spelman.
Can someone please explain to me how you can manage to show your dogs perfectly well without double handling at all breed shows, yet you are unable to do so at breed club shows? And as for calling the KC's bluff - go ahead, don't reply to their letters, I am sure they will realise the error of their ways and change their minds - NOT!
The Breed Clubs have collectively appointed the GSDP to negotiate with the KC on their behalf. It is vital that the clubs continue to support the GSDP and pass their letters together with their comments, in case there is a change in their position, to the partnership. The GSDP can then judge the current position better and, therefore, they can make the best response possible to the KC. If the Clubs will proceed in this way it will mean that the KC will have to recognise there is no other way to deal with the breed as a whole other than continue discussions with the GSDP.
I would respectfully ask ALL of the Breed Clubs to proceed in this way and support the GSDP who are your elected negotiators. I think that this move will take away some of the iniative from the KC and make the partnership stronger.

Who gives a shit what the K.C. thinks,it's long overdue that the breed should break away from the K.C.
I suggest the process begins by boycotting Crufts next year.
You are just not listening are you? Respectfully request all you like - the KC have made it clear they will deal with the clubs/societies individually and if they don't get the response they want they wont be giving CC's to those clubs. Rightly or wrongly, you cannot argue with the KC if they have made their mind up.
With due respect it's you who aren't listening.
We hold all the aces the k.c. hold all the deuces, who in their right mind negotiates anything from a position of strength?
There are more than enough brains in the breed to go it alone, who needs the k.c.?
When the k.c's guts start rumbling they will quickly change their attitude.
Then do it, don't keep making threats, go and set up your own club and do your own thing. But how many will still want to show at the shows that do get the CC's? And register your puppies with them so you can sell them? The KC will not be held to ransom and surprise surprise not everyone wants to leave.
The tinpot dictators at the k.c. need taking down a peg or two.
Any changes to the conformation of the breed has to come from Germany, not London.
It's as ridiculous as the German Kennel Club wanting to change the conformation of the British Bulldog.
Totally absurd.
Jeevs: You really should fully comprehend my article "RISING TO THE CHALLENGE"
You may have read it, but you clearly do not fully comprehend it. Perhaps you fail to understand the GSD World "outside of Great Britain". I would respectfully suggest that yourself, and also the Kennel Club, bring yourselves fully up to date. I would also remind you, we are European!
Please refrain from a response based on obvious ignorance, go and learn about the SV, WUSV, FCI and VDH, then place issues in context and have a much broader view.
Not everything is what you imagine or what you conclude, on your obvious very limited knowledge of this broad subject matter.
