LMH,

In defense of Veronica.....Athos is STILL very very much a handfull!  He is very vocal and pushy....we struggle with keeping him quiet both physically and vocally!  This is why we chose to make sacrifices and give him that long list of meds instead of putting him to sleep as suggested by so many people, even Veronica herself.  He still has lust for life and his poor heart might just explode some day!  We hope not for a while though, we love him.  His medications and diet is a financial burden but we felt he deserved a chance and Cindy can afford his care and we can manage it together.  His physical health is much improved since he arrived here.

If you have bad knees, he IS NOT the dog to have in the house under foot!  He has run THROUGH me on a couple of occasions and put me on my butt!

LMH,

I am pretty short, low to the ground and am pleasingly plump.......it takes alot to shake me

Last week, you said Alma was at your feet--to Linda, the owner of the dog--when "Alma at your feet" was in the custody of Animal Control that very moment.

Why do you and "Cindy" say he is living with and under the care of Cindy Thorne, and then you say he is with you and under your care? So which is it? Are you and Cindy the same person?

Seeing how you say Athos is there and he is indeed alive, which I would be thrilled to confirm he is alive, then you will not mind taking him to a veterinarian of my choice to diagnosis the illness and the fact he is alive?  And confirm his tattoo and microchip? And btw, if that picture is him, and it really was taken recently, Athos is doing well for a dog that was not supposed to live another six months due to a Grade 4 heart condition back in May/June 2010.

Why didn't you have the vet call me and verify what was going on with the dog when it happened? Why not since? How hard is it to get her forwarding phone number? Doesn't OSU have a reliable records department?

Wouldn't you like to get Vinetta's papers so she is yours and you can register her litter that is due to be born right about now? If those pups are registered, they will be worth a lot of money, with that incredible pedigree, and the credentials of both the bitch (SchH3, IPO3, FH2,KKL 1 for life), and the male you said you used? You know--back in December, when you asked me if I would register the litter after it was born?

I see no reason to call you. Why--to hear more excuses? You have my phone number also...and haven't called me either.  But honestly, I'd just as soon you didn't, I think it's past telephone conversations now.  I now want the same thing I always wanted: Athos records from OSU, the phone number of the diagnosing vet. And now one extra thing: for you to take him to a vet I will employ, of my choosing, with a witness of my choosing, to verify his heart condition and his living or non-living state.

With all the excuses you have made, and yet lack of compliant and timely response to my reasonable requests, I believe we should correspond through certified USPS mail.  It's taken you eight months an a post of the PDB to finally respond concerning Athos health records, a few more weeks of certified snail mail won't make any difference, will it?

Expect a certified letter to arrive soon with the pertinant LEGAL and business-proper information to go forward with this issue.  If we can't work this out, I guess I will need to get a lawyer in your area to help me with the legal details of fraud and fraud committed over state lines.

You can understand my scepticism, surely, that a christmas tree in the photo is proof positive the photo was taken sometime around Christmas 2010, if that is Athos? I have left a tree like that out in my basement for more than a year. I got a smaller one this year that's easier to get out and put away since I dislike carrying anything eavy up and down the stairs and wrestling it into a box it never fits back into. I think a vet and witness of my choosing would be more reliable than your pictures.

Veronica,  Your just being unreasonable now.....sigh.......  Set up whatever you want to set up!  Athos has been seen by SOOOOO many vets thus far, I guess one more won't be an issue.  Figure it all out.  Hell, call Gucci, I talked to her this evening right about 9:00pm my time...have her be a witness.

Why did the vet need to verify ANYTHING with you at all?  What could you have told them that would have changed anything?

I would LOVE to get Vinetta's papers but she IS NOT bred.....NO PUPPIES have been conceived from her.  Money is not my objective when and IF I do breed her so the value of her puppies is moot to me at this point.  A litter from Vinetta would be nice but chances are I will never have one from her.  Also, I have it documented that you agreed to register any litters produced by Vinetta.

There is Melinda Upton, she is an internal medicine specialist in my area and she HAS not seen Athos.  Call her and get an appointment set up, we tried and she is very difficult to get into see, and I suppose since you want all this then you are going to pay for the office visit as well, after all we his medical bills since June 18th have been EXACTLY $4,906.95 and that does not include his prescription food!?  I think if this is the route you want to go then the vet of YOUR choosing in MY area can look at Athos's vet records from OSU in Stillwater and from Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists in Jenks and verify that he INDEED has genetic issues!  Why send them to you at all if this is what you want?

I already have an attorney working on some stuff and it won't hurt to throw this his way either....I don't think you want to go there, I don't really.  But there are many people who have said, "How could you NOT have known he was sick." or "How did the veterinarian who issued the health certificate NOT know he had a grade 4/6 heart murmur?"  On his VERY first vet visit for a check up on 5/25/2010 (just 5 days after the date on his health certificate from your vet, The Pet Stop) he was noted as having an irregular heart beat...sinus arythmia with a "?" but he couldn't hear for sure because of excessive panting.  Some have even said that you knew he was sick and unloaded him on me, so who frauded who?  I defended you, by the way and said I didn't believe you knew he was sick when he shipped!  Anyway, going to my attorney's office every day this week has been a PITA!

I will post video's of Athos.....he IS living, I don't know why you are so stuck on that but it is absurd!

Vickie

by AKVeronica60 on 12 February 2011 - 07:02

Okay, I see Vickie responded and people asked questions while I was writing a response.

I no longer own Zulma van't Leefdaalhof, I gave her away. She is in excellent health, as her sire apparently lived to be almost 15. Perhaps her new owner will come on here and talk about her. He hopes for a pup of his dreams for competition, and he is very psched about it.  Where can you get Ufo van Guys Hof grandpups now? No where. This is the last chance.

I do not breed ANY DOGS AT ALL now.

I would have liked to keep Athos. But he was so unhappy, even when made a house dog (yes, he's housebroke) an energetic dog who lives to train.  I couldn't even play tug with him at that time without it hurting me. So I asked people I know and trust in the area if they wanted him. No one did. It's often easier to get a better home if someone pays for the dog than to give the dog away to a stranger. He is a lot of dog, he needs someone who understands a working dog to play with him and make him happy. Vickie seemed to fit that bill, and the plus was, there would be more Athos pups in the world. I even paid the shipping when the check did not come through, I was so happy to have a good home for him.

That check bounced, it was written on a close account. You see Vickie even claiming it, when she knows it bounced. I have a copy of it here in this file on my desk.

I wish I had been able to get such a good breeding dog with great credentials who was nine years old.  I looked really hard. I inquired on Merlin v. Conneford who was owned by Wallace Payne at that time, and Merlin (Pedro) was about the same age at the time of inquiry that Athos was when I sold Athos--nine years. Wallace wanted about four or five times what Vickie paid for Athos, who had more titled offspring on the ground than Pedro did at that time.  I spent a lot of time negotiating for Athos for a considerably greater amount of money than Vickie paid for Athos--when Athos was six years old. He was worth it.  He is a great dog and has made some great pups.  He has two sons in Europe who made the WUSV world teams.  One was a reserve, he didn't compete. From the Netherlands.

That check she mentioned was written on a closed account. So no, the dog is not paid in full, I was not supposed to have to pay for shipping.

I did not ask very much for a dog of those credentials and proven production, who had produced a litter of nine pups recently. He was healthy when he left here. What more should I do?

Okay, I have forgotten the other questions.  Let me go back and read and respond again. Likely, someone has posted more while I wrote this post, so I'll try to include that also.

OH, I remember. Vickie has my address, it's available all over, but here it is again:

Veronica,  You told me you would not deposit that check for the shipping.  Of course, if you want to play the victum go right ahead.  The account was closed because the business was closed due to my health.  I have stated that before!  And I can go quote you again about the shipping monies!  Let me go look it up....BRB.

Ok, Veronica,  You attempted to deposit the check contrary to what you have told me here.  I didn't say anything about it to you when my bank contacted me!  I just told them to return it since the account was closed and I would come in and pay for the return fee, which I did.

Here it is in your own words....and I QUOTE!

Funny, must be nice to have your home remodeled partly on me.....I am at this moment sitting at home with a broken central heat unit and a record 26" of snow on the ground, last night it was 45 degrees in my house!  LOLOL

Vickie

by AKVeronica60 on 12 February 2011 - 08:02

Vickie's tally of what's owed is very incorrect, and it is not my tally. She owes me considerably more, if Athos is not actually sick, particularly for Vinetta. The check she sent for shipping on both dogs bounced because it was on a closed account.  Shipping two dogs from Alaska to Oklahoma is not that cheap.

What have I gained? I gain nothing unless Vickie does as she says, complies to the reasonable requests for records from OSU and the diagnosing vet's phone number. Which she has said several times before she would do. And now takes Athos to a vet of my choosing, who has already volunteered to do this for me, with a witness of my choosing.  I do not need Vickie's vet friend for a diagnosis. If she is really Vickie's friend.

So...probably...I have gained nothing for myself. But perhaps something for other people and their dogs.

BTW, if Athos is actually living, it is nice to hear from Vickie he is so energetic--while taking what is supposed to be many meds for his heart disease and was supposed to expire two months ago.

Veronica
