He let me down big style with his ducking and diving, but perhaps Jante just needed to know bare facts and perhaps is a really nice person - lets see. Mo.

Subject: RE: Crufts 2010 ruined by Gross Misconduct
Great piece of work David on behalf of the German Shepherd Dog, not just within the UK but throughout the World. It is about time that the general public wherever, now seeing how the Kennel Club is victimising our breed.
In addition, to highlight, that creditable breeders are routinely using the same health checks as in the motherland (Germany) and that these health checks have been used by our breed for years, and have nothing to do with the Kennel Club’s recent campaign on health issues.
With reference to the Crufts winner, what more do the KC want? They are stating that a dog should be fit for purpose and fit for life. Here they have a dog that has passed all the health checks, all the mental tests, and as you stated, passed the endurance 20km stamina test.
Did Caroline Kisko see that the grandfather of the dog just happened to be one of Germanys (SV) best ever producers and the German SV Sieger, a dog that won Crufts Best of Breed 2 years ago? Would she have made the same comments if the winner was sired by an “Alsatian”? I do not think so, but yet again the true international SV German Type of dog has come to the front again, on its own merits. Judged by a totally unbiased judge, to whom I have personally never seen at any of our GSD breed shows. I have to give the judge a tremendous amount of respect as he has found the correct international type of German Shepherd that the rest of the world recognise.
I am now sure that this is the straw that has broke the Camels back, I am sure now the we can call on Herr R Meyer SV National Breed Warden, and other Heads of the SV to fully support our GSD breed here within the UK, they cannot allow the Kennel Club to discredit their breed any longer. I am sure Herr Meyer is well aware of the Kennel Club, he has been a regular visitor to the UK and is a very popular and respected SV Judge.
I would recommend to the SV that they suspend all SV judges from judging in the UK, at any KC licensed CH.Show, until there is a complete turnaround by the Kennel Club on the disgraceful treatment and victimization they are meting out on our very correct Germanic type of German shepherd dog.
I would also state that in view of this recent degrading of our breed by the Kennel Club, that all those breed clubs who voted YES to the Kennel Club undertaking, now change their mind and Vote NO

My sentiments exactly. The letter posted with the permission of Paul Bradley states very clearly the way in which we should move forward and make sure that we are no longer dictated to by the KC. I see my position in BAGSD as an EC member as a position I can no longer hold. The "Best of Breed" winner at Crufts is owned by a BAGSD member of my branch and Carol is a valued member, I can only apologize that no statement with regards to her win and the derogatory comment made by the KC afterwords has been forthcoming from BAGSD. Over the past few months I have been mentioned in many post on the PDB and in a majority of case`s singled out as not being one of the EC members referred to when people have criticized the Association. In future there will be no need for this as I have now officially resigned from the BAGSD EC. I can now promote the GSD in the UK in the way in which I think the Breed should progress in the future. I thank all those who have freely given compliments and support for my article, both on this thread, emails and numerous phone calls. The emails and phone calls from the owner of the Crufts B.O.B. have been the most rewarding. Carol asked for my help, and I was spurred on to ensure any help I gave would be meaningful and effective. I can also add this has encouraged several influential people in the canine world to help Carol, and to help our breed in our fight against the Kennel Clubs disgusting discrimination and victimisation of the GSD here in the UK. I also agree with Paul Bradley's opinions. My sincerest congratulations John, you tried very hard for many years to change an "ugly duckling" into a "beautiful swan" - alas the BAGSD Executive have turned into a swarm of "jellyfish" - spineless creatures!
UNITED WE WILL BE POWERFUL

I understand from an earlier post that Caroline Kisko put the phone down on the owner/breeder of the Best of Breed? If this is correct she really should be sacked.

What a crock of BULL FUNKY!! I thought the split was bad here in the States.AM LINES/GERMAN LINES. The woman's Judging License should be taken away, and she should be banned from Judging!! Does she judge other breeds too? In order to breed in England, do your dogs' have to be registered with the KC?
David Payne, thanks for sharing your article with the German Shepherd world, worldwide. The KC has just embarrased themselves worldwide. AND.. just like the AKC...they DO NOT not know what a GOOD GERMAN SHEPHERD SHOULD look like!!
Keep FIGHTING LIKE HELL for THE GERMAN SHEPHERD!!
The Breeder should sue the KC for Defamation of Character, soiling her reputation as a Breeder, when the dogs are good!

As a founder Members of BAGSD Cornwall, my wife and I fully back John`s decision to resign from being EC member to BAGSD.
This Club voted 100% against signing the Contract, and understands John`s position in taking his Decision.
Anyone who knows John will know that he has the GSD and its welfare at heart, and can be relied on to give a good honest opinion on any subject concerning the Breed, it must have been with some difficulty to make this decision.

p.s. maybe to make it better known that of John`s position a fresh Thread should be started showing this but would also suggest that John`s permission is obtained first
