Vikram,

I have read through your post history, and you seem to simply be a forum hooligan.  Your views are not relevent to this thread, and you contribute no value....which is generally your modus operandi.  There is a wonderful thread on Panda Shepherds that is just begging for your attention....might you go there and add no value rather than here?

Cheers!

Well folks when you deal with opinions I was always told to consider the source. On the one hand I have Vikram who says Czech dogs have nerve issues,(and what is his point of reference?), and we have Mike Diehl who has won the nationals competed with a Czech dog at the worlds, and has now taken another Czech dog and won a national event and will be competing in the worlds again. Which opinion should I value in terms of nerve???? Notwithstanding that Mike is one of the top trainers in the country(I think trainers can assess nerve), and I don't know what Vikram has even trained, to be able to have a credible opinion on nerve!!  Oh, Well !!

Don't want to get into the middle of something but most Czech GSDs I have looked at are killers.  They are hard wired into protection and real bad ass dogs.  If I was a cop great.  I am not.  I would not own a Czech GSD.  I also would not own a West German GSD.  As for me and my house, we are East German all the way!

GSD Justice, would really like to see the "most Czech dogs you have seen" that are killers. Have you seen 5, maybe 15, or are you talking about 100. I have dealt with well over 100 Czech dogs and 90 percent are in families or could be in families. Most of Eurosport's Czech dogs are sold to regular families that want a German Shepherd like the standard describes. I would be interested in seeing this multitude of Czech dogs that cannot be good family dogs or are "Killers". Really baffles me!!

I have a dog right now that I got as an older dog. (not Czech) Many people passed on this great dog because they had that "he's a killer" idea. That they "couldn't have him around the kids" I for one am very glad they felt that way. Allowed me to get him. He's an awesome dog and the only other person he cares to get any attention from is MY 8 YR OLD SON :)

Jyl, Gustay & ramgsd,

Thank you for your input.  In reference to Mike Diehl and his Erri z Blatenskeho Zamku.....If you look at Erri's pedigree, two of the noteworthy dogs in his lineage are Pike von der Schafbachmuhle, and Grim z Pohranicni Straze.

Eris vom Wildhaus is a Pike von der Schafbachmuhle grandaughter, and Ozzy Barnero brings Grim z Pohranicni Straze to the pedigree.  I find that rather validating with respect to the potential for quality represented by the mating check pedigree I posted earlier.....and I understand there are no guarantees, but on paper, the combination of these two makes for a pretty awesome pedigree.....good enough for Mike Diehl, sure as heck good enough for my no name schutzhund lovin' butt!!!!!!

Czech dogs are killers?

Give me a moment, I need to tell my bitch.  She's busy geting slapped around by a cat at the moment.

To the actual subject at hand I have a Galant bitch and would gladly take a puppy from any one of the Eurosport K9 stud dogs.  She is my first SchH dog and has been the most amazing introduction to the sport.  Balanced enough to be a fun firecracker on the field and still be a laid back, crawled on by the 5 year old, slapped around by the cats house dog.

I love the looks of this breeding as well, when is it going to happen and do all the pups have deposits on them yet?

Idog, I just looked at your last post.  If this is going to be your first dog to the sport I think you're on the right track. (Note! All dogs are individuals!!)

My Galant zPS girl was my first dog to the sport and my first GSD.  She has had 0 health problems, she is forgiving on the field (and I've made many mistakes), loves the work yet is dainty enough to have in the house around young and old alike.  I started training her at 12 weeks in June 07, she got her SchH I May 09 and we're moving right along hopefully to her II and her III.

Having gotten into the sport, when I realize how much trouble I could have gotten into with a dog that was too much or too soft I thank my stars I ended up with my little Czech dog.

RLHAR,

Thanks for the feedback, makes me happy to hear about your Czech bitch being slapped around by cats and kids....as I myself have five children.

Your validation of Eurosport's dogs is equally welcomed, and it is good to hear you feel this pedigree would give me a pup that places me on the right track....I agree, all dogs are individuals, thats why I make the provision that the pedigree looks good on paper......but that is what we do,  position to start with the best genetics we can, and train from there.

No, I am not new to schutzhund, and although I am a USA Classified Trial Helper, I would not pass myself off as any sort of expert....just not entirely a novice either.  I would like to simply think of myself as a guy who loves GSDs and SchH training!  Having said that, this pup will be my first "real" working line GSD.

Here is a link to the kennel, and the litter information....I am simply a customer in line for a pup from the I litter, I have no idea how many other deposits have been taken on their H or I litters??

www.wildhauskennels.com/litters.htm

If you are seriously looking for a second dog, I can highly recommend this kennel.
