I really appreciate your help, I really think raw is the way to go, I just really want to make sure I am doing everything correctly.

Do you feed veggies or do you do prey model?

I do prey model but I might occasionally throw them some veggies. I don't intentionally add them, but I do let them eat them if I have them lying around...table scraps, etc. I'm not a Nazi when it comes to raw; I don't see much harm in veggies, but I don't think they are beneficial enough for me to go to much trouble to provide them.

My dad had German Shepherds when I was young and he would feed them lamb chops, ground beef, ground turkey and even chicken skin and fat.
I recently got 2 pups about 12 weeks and I am following the raw diet as well. I do however once in a while give them dry food the Royal Canin German Shepherd Puppy 30, doesnt affect their stomach if you go back and forth between raw and dry in my case. They seem to love the raw food much more than anything. Also, the hubby goes to the local butcher shop and gets them huge bones with some meat still attached to chew on about once a week.
