This is what I found so far.
PDB is for PUREBRED dogs REGISTERED with an approved Organization.
And you rightly ask....... what are the approved Organizations?
Of course any org. approved by the FCI (Which includes the AKC and CKC), the SV.
But I think that we need to look further and make a list of these approved organizations. So this is what I am attempting to do now. If anyone has any questions about an organization please list it here so that we can investigate it and make a decision.

There are purebred dogs that are not registered with an FCI recognized organization. Sometimes these organizations are commonly referred to as pet registries. They are still, purebred dogs, even if they are not representatives of the ideal standard verified via titles and health testing.

That's what we have to decide on beetree. Do we allow these other organizations and if we do, then we need a list of them so that moderators and members can both use that list.
What organizations were you specifically referring to?

beetree: Now the situation is if they are not an Recognized approved Organization as Fantom mentioned they do not belong on the PDB.  The PDB is not a site for mixed breeds and without documented proof from a legitimate registry there is no way of knowing for sure.

Registries like bogus USA Registry (CKC) Continental Kennel Club a mixed breed registry, members might believe this is the (CKC) Canadian Kennel Registry in Canada which is a legit approved registry. Both show CKC as breed registry so could be confusing in purchasing a dog on the PDB for a member.

What about the USCA?

If you mean the dogs of the past that only registered with USCA then no. If they also registered them with an FCI approved registry then yes they can use that registration number but not just the USCA numbers.

I did my dogs with USCA and AKC and many did also.

I also think it depends on what time line you are looking at 10 - 15 years ago and they are here leave them new ones no.

I feel we should have a list for both moderators and members to see!
