It hurts me to see those pictures as he looks so much like the coloring of two of my special girls whom I have lost one a while ago and one not too long ago. And just like your boy those pictures look just like how my girls would react to me. My current girl was so badly abused before by especially a woman when she came to me and now she wants no space between us. She is darker colors than yours -- but that bond now! But she has a bad health issue that I am not sure I can get a knowledgeable vet to listen to me and cure. If I lose her, I will not be brave like you and post a note.

Oh yeah. Having lost a service dog this year myself, I know all about that!
So sorry for your loss, Xeph! {{{{HUGS}}}}

That was my very last trip with my Mousedog, my Moobear...and the people that saw him made it so incredibly wonderful for him. His last days were the best I could have asked for. He was alert. He was happy.
He was a *jerk*, which was Strauss to a T.
He argued with me, he played tug (and WON!), he got annoyed when I hugged him.
At the vet's office, he ate half a package of pill pockets. He kissed faces and hugged his rainbow zebra.
And when he left me, it was in my arms, and quiet, and for one last time I told him to put his head down, and he was a good dog.
You were always a good dog, Strauss. Even when you were a bad dog. There will never be another like him, and I can never repay him for all he has given me.
