I think many will disagree that  "Any dog worth his/her salt on this database has tiekerhook in its pedigree", sure there are other good dogs that have no tiekerhook in their lines.

Vikram, your fanatacism is tiresome.  Do you even have a Tiekerhook dog?  I'd recommend taking a look at litters produced by  Orry, from Van Den Heuvel K9.  Every pup I've seen from him also has fantastic drives, environmentally sound, and intelligence I've seldom witnessed.

with all due respect I'm no big fan of the Czech lines which have taken over US.

I personally feel Czech line have inherent nerve issues

cheers

Hmmm inherent.
Guess the dogs I've met were freaks. High drive, tough as nails Czech dogs...we never see that...

Actually, Orry is half-Czech.  And you don't get the honor of competing a half dozen times at WUSV with a "nervy" dog.  Even his progeny have competed on that level.  I know better than to stereotype Czech dogs, whatever meaning "nervy" is supposed to imply, as if it's not been equated to Tiekerhook dogs before as well.

Vikram,
How about Maineiche, Dolleweise, Mohnwiese, von der Luter, Emsbogen, Pendal bach, Bunsenkocker, Karthago, Waldwinkel.  I could keep going,  I've only scratched the surface.  I'm sure my spelling is off on some of the names.

As for Czech dogs don't knock them till you've owned one.  There are some awesome czech kennels as well.  I have a dog line bred 2-4 on Cordan An Sat, awesome dog.  Nerves of steel, no handler aggression.  I think Tiekerhook dogs are great, but you could have nerve issues there.  It all depends how you define nerves, aggression and drive.  Look at the video on their site entitled "food drive", I like high drive, hard dogs but that may be too much for me.  Although, it could be fun to train and work dog like that for my next K9.

Like I said, I really like Tiekerhook dogs, but they are not the only kennel producing solid, hard, high drive working dogs.  Many other kennels use the same studs he has like Nick, Yoschy etc.
 Those are the great producers.

JMO,

Jim
